According to the 10 commandments, you are required to show them honor. Exodus 20:12.

Later when Jesus Came he said also said to show them honor.

MATTHEW 19:19 Honor [your] father and [your] mother, and, You must love your neighbor as yourself.

Hate? Not at all, that is a very strong word that I prefer never to use! I dislike some of the things that they felt was right for us as children, but I would neer hate them for that. They taught me how to be a better parent by being a not so good parent!

I respect my parents regardless of my childhood, afterall...they made me!

I love both of my parents. They're both so amazing to me. My mom got pregnant with me wen she was 14. Eight days after I was born she turned 15. The guy who got her pregnant walked out on us when I was born. He gave up all his rights to me. My mom didn't do that, she stuck with me. She's always been there for me no matter how many times she disagrees with my choices. And my "dad" adopted me when I was 3 years old. I love him so much because he took me in as his own kid when he didn't have to and he gave me a great life. I couldn't ask for a better dad. I'm now 20 years old and I'm still daddy's little girl. lol...my biological father tried to make arrangments to meet me when I 17. I told him that I had went 17 years without him, i didn't need him now and that I have a dad now and he's not it. I havn't heard anything else from him.

Both of my parents are in their 70's.I had some real issues with my Dad growing up, to the point where we didn't talk for 20 years. Eventually, as I matured, I relized he wasn't totally wrong. I can't say that we're close, but i do respect him.
I've always been close to my mother and her family. So yes, I love my parents.

mom is self-center, dumb blond. step dad don't care too much about me. I took us as business relationship(they support me financially), there is no love involve. Their love is conditional love.
It's okay if they leave me alone, but I hate them if they trying to add their own intention on me or trying to influence my decision, put their expectations on me.
My dumb mom don't care my grown, don't guide me when I have needs, but always trying to get in the way of my big decision, she wanted to felt like she is a boss of my life. And I hate when she behave like that. Her voice is like noise to me.
she can't take care of her own relationship, and I have to worry about her marriage when I was young. I certainly don't want to get back to that family, and just hope one day I can gave back the money . So I don't feel I own them anything.
