The Christian or Moral Golden Rule is:
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
or in other words
"Treat people the way that you would like to be treated"
The origin is from the Bible, Jesus said in Matthew 7:12 - "Do for others what you would like them to do for you. This is a summary of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." (NLT)
The selfish, greedy, secular and world golden rule is whoever has the gold makes the rules. That has really gotten us far.
I think Jesus was onto something.
Oh, and strawberry yogurt...
"Knowledge about God never saved anyone. It is not enough to know the story of Jesus. You must know him Personally...There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Oh and also, I practice it by living out my Christian faith, as a disciple and evangelist. I am kind and loving to everyone I meet. I'll give the shirt of my back. I also care and love them enough to care for their soul, that is why I share Christ and the good news of the Gospel with them. What better way to love someone than to prepare them for all of eternity?
Take Care,
Thomas

If you read a small book called 'Illusions' you will find the Golden Rule is not 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' What if you would like to be eaten? What if you like pain? What if you are suicidal? What if you want someone to slap you?
Nor is the Golden Rule 'Don't do unto others as you wouldn't have done unto you.' for pretty much to same reasons.
The Golden Rule is that you should do whatever you want to do, and let everyone else do the same. If you really think about it this really is the best way you can live a happy life. You must remember that everything you do you do because you want to...

Not everyone has forgotten the golden rule- do unto others as you would have done unto you. Or something like that.
It is common courtesy to treat others the way you like to be treated. If you treat others bad don't be surprised when others treat you poorly. You sow what you reap.

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- Matthew 7:12
These are the words of Jesus. In other words, treat others the way you yourself wish to be treated.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
In todays world I kind of wonder, I get calls from telemarketers and they will not get off the phone until I am rude. When I am nice, they keep talking....
I believe in it, but it seems to be taken advantage of today, in a commercial way.
