Well there are a number of "serious" fighting styles.
I saw some people mention Muay Thai and yes, that is definitely one of the most brutal arts, for sure!
I'd say another one of the deadliest is Ninjitsu, which if I'm not mistaken, is illegal here in the states. Let us not forget it though. =)
Things like Karate, or Taekwondo could never be deemed as one of the deadliest, so people who actually answered with that...respectfully I say "NO"

"there's a 3000 year old chinese art called kung fu san soo that teaches you to kill a person in under 3 seconds"....now stand still so I can kill you...??? Does a flying kick to the back of your neck killing you in under 2 seconds count? How about an elbow strike to the top of yer head from someone able to break 20 bricks sound?

Politically correct question is: "Which style of fighting is superior in technique?"
Still the question would have to be very specific to very specific situations....In an enclosed area, out in the streets, out in the open, tested and scored based on thai kwando rules or based on submission.
If you are (and I suspect you are) asking which style would prevail in a contest of submission, given similar levels of training and similar athletic skills and strength, say 50 members representing each of the styles in an open arena...that would be interesting but still wouldn't be fair because, for example, I would bet on a thai kwando fighter to win against mui thai out in the open but stick them both in a large phone booth and the mui thai or a kenpo fighter would turn it into a meat-o-matic blender with the Thai kwando fighter not able to mount either a defense or an attack. Of course if he is any good he wouldn't get in the booth. Is there a style that can prevail above all others under any and all conditions? ....wild guess....NO!
Ask a martial arts purist and the answer is the style that inflicts no pain or injuries to himself or others (tacky hands?) and prevents others from doing so as well. Walking away from a fight is pretty high on the list for a grand master. A single knock out sucker punch can beat ANY style but that isn't a fight it's an 'a s s whoopin!'
Which is faster my 4 wheel drive jeep or a new GT 500 Mustang???? On a beach with soft sand.... on a drag strip.... Up a steep dirt hill.... over cinder blocks.... around a track at taledega..... etc...

How many times a day do we have to see this retarded question? Here's an idea if you live in such a **** hole of a neighborhood that you have to kill people all the time, move or stop doing whatever it is you're doing that keeps pitting you in life or death combat.

Or if you want to learn how to kill people join the marines. But I guess it ain't as cool if your victim is actually an armed expert in guerilla warfare and is not some 98 pound weakling who doesn't know crap about Dim Mak death touches or whatever other line of weapons grade bull **** they feed you in that strip mall dojo.

Krav Maga, developed by the Israeli Military.

Purely self-defense as there is no offensive moves. You start a fight, you can either end up severely disabled, disfigured or dead in the fewest moves possible.

Also very deadly against armed combatants.

What Dennis said. Why do you want to know? So you can study it and kill people? Any martial art can be deadly. It depends on the practitioner.
