You didn't give a price range for the ideas, but cash is always great.
Gift cards are very popular, but just check out all the small print & make certain they were properly activated. Some gift cards will actually reduce in value if not used within a certain period of time.
Also, a mall gift card that is available for use in a variety of stores is nice as well.
Some restaurants can now be used in multiple chain restaurants, so that is a good choice as well.
Happy shopping or banking!

If you don't attend a wedding there is no social requirement to send a gift. Because you are sending the gift, you may want to go to a store that is also near your friend's wedding like Target or Sears or Pennys and buy a gift certificate they can use to buy something they really need. Otherwise I would send a nice electric blanket or Forman.

Yes, either money or an American Express Gift Card. If you are not attending the wedding, the amount can be less.

I think a gift card is your best bet. I hated taking everything home after the wedding. And then I pretty much took everything back anyway because it wasn't something off our list. So money or gift cards are great gifts.

Please keep in mind that no guest, or someone that does not attend the wedding, is obligated to give a gift, but it sure is a nice thought!

See this black and white frame? When someone gave this to us, my jaw literally dropped. It was the first time I saw my married name in black and white, and I love it.
Another thing...I thought the person spent $50-$75 on it, and was floored when I found out it only cost $25. I´m going to buy something from this company whenever we attend a wedding, shower, anniversary, baptism, etc.-these frames are awesome, and people will keep these forever.

I would suggest NOT to go in for vouchers or gift cards. I recd lots of them at my wedding last month an am literally struggling because I cant buy things that I wanted to. I am lacking choices now.
Instead, either go in for cash, or gift them something that they really need. Maybe a big photo-frame that they can fix on their living room wall with their wedding picture.. Or something that really reminds them of you and their wedding.

I think writing a nice check is wonderful...or you can always go through the small hassle of finding something off of their registry, wrapping it, heading to the post office, having it shipped to the home, and hope that nothing breaks. I think the check will be appreciated. Who doesn't love money?
