There are 2 siddha peethhas in Delhi one is Kalkaji temple (in kalkaji, new delhi) and the other is Bhagwati Yog-Maya temple (Mehrauli, new delhi). This temple is just opposite the famous iron pillar near Qutab Minar.

Bhagwati Yog-Maya on instructions of Shri Krishna took birth as girl to Yashoda, and whom Vasudeva took back, after leaving Krishna there.

Kansa when tried to kill that girl by throwing her on a stone, she slipped out of hands of Kansa and flew to sky and there she showed her real form and told Kansa about the birth of shri Krishna

Yogmaya then struck at a hillock near delhi, left her Pindi there and went to Vindhyachal to kill some demons

That Pindi is worshipped in Yog-Maya Temple...there is no idol of Devi there. This temple has been destroyed by Muslims many times...but each times rich vaniks of old delhi, re-constructed it.

I visited this temple in 1998 when i was in Delhi and would love to go there again.

Yog Maya or Jog Maya temple is Chattarpur Mandir - located beyond the Qutb Minar in Mehrauli. The temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, is built in South Indian style.

The temple complex is spread over a large area with beautiful lawns and gardens. Though devotees visit these temples throughout the year, the main attraction comes during the Navarathri festival, when devotees come from far and near.

I am not aware of the legend behind this temple, a siddha Peetha. I would like to know it-

Chhatra pur temple - there was saint called Naag Pal. Nobody knew his name but since he took care of all the snakes in the area and offered them milk and worshipped them, hence he was named Baba Naag Pal.

He had a small hut there and was very poor with no disciples, except some villagers offering him milk. It is a myth that Naag told him about some Mogul's hidden treasure in the area, and within months he made this big temple.

Chhatrapur temple is dedicated to all forms of Devis
