I really sympathise with you! I have endured similar experiences with my own mother. There are no easy solutions. You just have to try to sympathise with her and keep calm no matter how much she pushes you. It is also important not to be emotionally dependent upon her or to feel entirely responsible for her. You may find it helpful to get counselling on the subject to help you deal with your own feelings. Support from other family members may be very useful. Try to be a patient and loving daughter while at the same time keeping your head clear to manage your own life.

Have a family intervention or a meeting, to discuss your issues with all family members and tell your mother your feelings and ask questions.
Or have a family meeting without her- maybe dicuss with a doctor what medications would be right for her or if its too extreme maybe voluntary have committed to check how bad it is and what the doctors can do for her; to get her on the right path with the family.

I feel for you as I have a sister that is like this and I have dealt with her for a long time. Now, I just listen and tell her not to fret and that I am sorry but I have to go..........she calls a lot less is all it has gained me, but it sure is better for me... good luck. It is a type of panic attack I think along with the Bi Polar....

Perhaps you could spend a lot of time out of the house...maybe at a library, becoming a genius-like student.
This would increase your chances of not ending up like her..and being able to get away from this insanity by going away to college.
Perhaps, you could train/study to work on such conditions as hers...to help other children (& adults) from having to suffer with this mental disorder.
Take care. :-)

Hmmm ... I guess just keep in mind that she isn't realy "in controle of what she's saying" at thouse times. So try not to get your feelings hurt when she blows up at you and try to stay calm. There's not much else I can think of to do ...

May not be Psychotic. She may have good intuition. How do you know he is not doing what she feels? The yelling at others is his behavior stressing her out.She may want to try to seperate from him at least for awhile.Could she come over to your place for two weeks? Be Kind to her,it is more than likely both parties. Give her a break.

You need to understand that she is going through a difficult time. Try to calm her down, she can't control herself and is going through a lot.

Don't answer the phone. Stop letting her use you as a punching bag. Her husband knows what she is doing, and if its a sane man, he is cheating.
