But God created sin, if you believe in the Bible than there's no other alternative for you. God created everything, it was the tree of knowledge of good and evil before man sinned, so there was evil before man, and there must have been before Satan.

So this means sin is all part of your God's "perfect plan." So my question is, why do you hate sin when it's just a part of God's perfect plan.

Don't hate the sin, hate sinning....

God did not create sin. He did create Hell though and that is where he sent the most beautiful angel that got half of the angels to join him and try to out-do God. We were given a choice to accept God, if you don't, you sin, thereby you create it. God gives us everything, you can abuse, misuse, and overindulge all by yourself.

God didn't create sin, only the POTENTIAL for it's existence. Remember, had Adam and Eve NOT eaten of the forbidden fruit, sin would still be a foreign concept to us today! The reason He created the potential for sin was to help ensure an unconditional love existed between us and Him. If He had FORCED Adam and Eve into proper behavior, then the relationship between us and Him would be very "robotic" to say the least! There'd be no real love, only a "soft slavery" type existence. In other words, no wrong would be possible and no punishment needed. But, this would also LIMIT the range of our emotions towards God due to the limited choices we'd have in such an environment!

I agree with AJ the monkey, but, I also think you'd be better off actually reading the Bible. You'd get a better understanding of how the whole "sin-sinner-sinning" thing works. If not, you should pray about it. God works in mysterious ways, and maybe he could show you the answer to your own question.

Tucking: You are right - correct in your surmising about God creating evil ... (its in the Bible - read about it in the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 45 , verse 7). Satan and his demons were cast down to the earth BEFORE man was even, created upon the earth. God even, placed the deciding factors, which came into play, to ensure humans would sin. i.e. Satan, Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, chance - 2 humans, 1 male and 1 female both, inexperienced with sin (or how to prevent it). ALL - in the proximity of the garden of Eden. Satan a supreme Archangel, which God knew could and would deceive Eve then, the woman would work and entice Adam. As a Christian, I view the sinning as human weakness in need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Yes; God was implementing His Master Plan for the human race starting with Adam & Eve. Quite often in the Bible, the theme always starts out being evil or bad ultimately becoming or made good. Evil or wrong always preceeds good in the physical realm. Things have to be bad before they are made "good".

The tree was called by that name, not because God created sin, but because that was the result of eating its fruit, to know evil or what it is to disobey God. He did not create a tree of good and evil, but instead a tree called the "knowledge" of good and evil. Thus God did not originate evil, but instead built a mechanism whereby it might be made known.

Well, someone might have answered already....but.

God did not create sin. God created free will, and by Eve eating that apple, against God's wish, she committed the first sin. God did not commit it, He did not control Eve to eat that apple.

How do you figure God created sin? God created life, humans make choices and there are consequences to those choices. We read the story of Adam and Eve to try to understand the origins of sin and alienation. We don't read it as actual history.

That is just the Christian method of hating a person, but not admitting it. You can't hate everything about a person's life but still love them... not in real life.

I know Christian women at my son's school... other moms... who are like that about gays. They are taught to 'hate the sin' but it's just a way for them to hate the person but not feel bad about it.

God didn't create sin, man did through his free-will. God never wanted man to sin, but allowed it, because he gives man free-will. God can use all things for the greater good and for his glory in Jesus Christ, who defeated sin and death at the cross and by his resurrection! Praise the LORD Jesus Christ to the Glory of God the Father in the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever, amen! God bless.
