TRANSLATION - where would you like to live
and what are your preferences

So, your answer might look like this
1) apartment with other students on campus
2) student dormitory
3) house with 3 to 5 other residents
4) an apartment or house with easy subway or bus access, 15 minutes from campus or less

If you have a maximum amount you can afford to spend on housing, tell them.

I think it means that you should tell them what you want for accommodation and list them in order. Example: I would like to have a private bedroom sitting room and bathroom, if I can't have that my second choice would be I would like a private bedroom and will share bath and sitting room or if I can't have that I will share a bedroom bathroom and sitting room. Whatever the choice is- list them in the order you would like. They will try to accommodate them in order because you can not always have first choice so they need to know what second choice is etc. I hope this makes sense to you.

calm down and relax *deep breath*
now, send them an email with correct spellings and all
with accommodation choices to be listed as. Dont mind listing them in order of preference, unless you want a particular room.

Ok, what they want is to know what type of room you want. So go to the list of room types (single, double etc.) and list them in order of preference. So if your #1 choice is a single, list that first, etc.

It sounds to me like they are asking you if you would prefer to have a roommate (a double-occupancy room in a dormitory), or would like to have a room all to yourself. These days you can have more than one other person live in the same room/rooms. If you would like to try to join a fraternity or sorority, this would count, too, as far as accommodations go.

When they ask about accommadations, they want to know where you are going to stay.

Will you stay in a hotel? Will you get an apartment? Are you going to be staying in their dorms?

Also it means to ask where you plan to eat.

List your preferences means to put n

#1 You favorite
#2 Next best
#3 best after that...

Good luck

Have a nice day
