Jesus (God) is LORD of all creation, therefore, he can control it in order to defy nature's laws when peforming miracles. God bless.

No, it wasn't magic, and it wasn't miracles either.
He did those things using permutations of God's holy names, using the Hebrew letters. This was done long before him by certain rabbis, some who raised the dead as well. And it is still done today by certain rabbis, tho not necessarily raising the dead!
There were rabbis who knew how to bend time, and be in one place and then a minute later be hundreds of miles away.
They cured fatal diseases, etc.
All of this must be done with the holiest of intention, and it must be done by those who are the purest souls, otherwise it becomes a lower form of idolatry, and not done for the sake of God.
There is a story in the Talmud that relates that a man named Yeshua was put on trial, and eventually put to death, mainly for heretical behaviour such as teaching the gentiles how to perform these permutations of the holy letters.
The story of Moses, when he saw the Egyptian beating a Hebrew slave, this is how Moses killed him, using a permutation of one of the Hebrew names of God.
This is also how the Golden Calf was created. Which, by the way, moved around and made sounds.
These letters, the Hebrew letters, are said to be what God created the world with. Each letter is a certain energy, and will create a certain THING and a certain energy WITHIN that thing. And different combinations of letters will produce different things. This is how each thing in Creation was brought into being. It also involves deep mathematics with these letters.
If you are interested in more about this, you can read several Jewish books that have been translated into English now. The Bahir, and The Sefer Yetzirah (by Aryeh Kaplan) are two places to start.

This is an interesting question and a tough one to answer; however, I have explored this question before and these are some of what I've found out.
To begin with, Jesus wouldn't consider what he did to be miracles. They are only miracles because we as humans can't explain them.
First of all, when one is living purely in the physical world through the intellect, it is impossible to manipulate the laws of physics; however, when one is in the physical form but unattached to it and in a complete spiritual place...miracles become possible. The spiritual proceeds the physical.
Also, the Holy Trinity comes into play here. All three aspects of Jesus was united and his Kelee cone was pure...
Anyway, I can't explain it any better, but I suppose he didn't manipulate the laws of physics, just proceeded them. I hope this makes sense. It's deep.

Do I detect an atheist? Haha. I've actually thought about this one a lot. There's a third option, which I believe could be the case if Jesus walked on water: He had no power, he was clean and just knew when the time was right, and followed his impulse.
Without a spiritual mind, our brain doesn't give us signals, and our body cannot move. Because my spirit is bonded to my body, I can direct it to lift a person. Wind and water can lift a person, even throw a truck stories high. Perhaps angels can make things their bodies temporarily, things less unified but just as flexible as our bodies, and lift us up when it suits a greater purpose.
Something I've noticed in reading other stories of saints and prophets walking on water - the water was rough and stormy. That's a lot of force there! Maybe God is isn't magical, just a really clever magician.

It's a moot point really. If you are a true believer of Christ then the mechanics of his methods should have no bearing on your faith.
However, I understand your curiosity and have asked myself this question as well. Although I do not believe purely in Christianity any more, I would suggest that God/Jesus more than likely works within the confines of the world that he created. Remember that God's perspective on existence is supposed to be much greater than man's. Subtle actions are often set in motion and planted far in advance of any specific event so that when the time comes for these actions to manifest themselves as an outcome it appears miraculous or strangely convenient. An obvious problem here though is the choice/destiny paradox that this implies, but that is a debate for another time.
Cheers!

Magic - That which manipulates "matter" to present an "illusion"
Miracle - That which defies reason or logic in that which is material (matter)
Jesus performed a varity of ********* many call "magic" some call "miracles" but to DEFINE the difference takes EXPLORING the FACTS.
1. He walked on water
2. He raised the "dead"
3. He healed the sick
4. He healed those with "palsy"
5. He gave "sight" to the blind.
6. He gave the paralyzed the ability to walk
AND SO ON AND SO ON
How many "magicians" have you seen DO all the things Jesus was said to have DONE in his lifetime? You have your ANSWER..............

Jesus was messenger of God. How can such a thing be attributed to Him. Have you seen any one manipulate the laws of physics and perform miracles? Name one scientist or person who has done so. Actually the mind of man has immense possibilities. When focussed it can work wonders which would appear to others as manipulation, magic, trickery, fraud, or other worldly. Practice focussing your mind under the guardianship of a Master for a few months and see how it works wonders. As soon as the mind is focussed to a particular level, your thoughts begin translating themselves to reality. Of course within the overall laws of God.

In my belief system Jesus IS the physics. I know that sounds corny, but easten orthodox christians are taught that there is no separation between the logos and the thing the logos does. That non separation thing is something that Christians were talking about before the Bible was put together 325 years after his death. Some gods may be able to twist the universe to get their humans all riled up, but my God IS the physics, the rules.

Well; an educated guess, that I might suggest, is that since God created the physical realm and the laws which govern it, God harnessed these laws to illustrate to those His goodness and love for them in performing miracles. Jesus always told the people He helped, not to tell others about what He accomplished. Did the recipients listen ? ... of course NOT !!!

Jesus made the laws of physics so He can do anything He wants with them. He doesn't need to manipulate anything because everything in the universe answers to His voice.

Jesus is said to have performed miracles.Miracles happen in my life as well. I believe that to effect a miracle, true belief that it can and will occur is necessary.
It is said that something "weird" happens, in quantum theory, that cannot be easily explained, just that IT IS.
Whether it is within our definitions of physics is mute. That it did and does happen is all I need to know.
It's about belief.
