I'm Jewish, and Jesus simply didn't fulfill all of the messianic prophecies. For example:
What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? The Bible says that he will:
A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)
D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world -- on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).
The historical fact is that Jesus fulfilled none of these messianic prophecies

Because our line of prophets ended long before J*sus or Muhammad ever showed up. Also, the messiah has to fulfill all prophecies before he dies in order to be considered the messiah. Neither of those men did any of them.
It is very simple, so I won't post all the evidence unless you request it.
And you cannot be a Jew and believe in J*sus, not matter what those Messianics tell you. It's simply not possible.

Because Jesus didn't fulfill the prophecies of the Messiah. As for Muhammed - even the Muslims don't think HE was the messiah - just a prophet. Maybe you should learn more about other religions before you start questioning them; when you start making assumptions, you just look ignorant.

Because Jews are waiting for the Messiah that will slay all the enemies of Israel.
And they know Muhammad is a false prophet.

From the same reason everybody else does. Some say because He did not fulfill the prophecies. Well, take a look at just one of the prophecy and think for yourself.
I think that the reason in fact is the same that everybody else embrace.

I don't believe in god.
I don't believe that the supposedly holy books contain accurate truth.
I have no compelling evidence to indicate the Jesus or anyone else is anything other than a human.
Plus, I've read the book "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind" by Julian Jaynes...which gives an excellent explanation of the history of humans coming to believe in god.
Further, I have read a lot of books about memes & memeplexes, which give more rational explanation for the source of such beliefs, than the standard superstitious theories.
Take care. :-)

You're question is a bit confusing. Muslims do not consider Mohammed to be the Messiah. Muslims consider JESUS (or Issa) to be the Messiah. (don't beleive me? Look it up)
They consider Mohammed rather to be his most recent prophet.
I highly doubt many Jews though would be willing to convert to Islam despite the striking similarities in religious thought and the fact that Jew and Muslim beleives in the same god. This is likely a result of the antagonism between Christians, Muslims and Jews have had for hundreds of years.

People have the right to believe whatever they want. Not everyone is going to believe what you believe just b/c you claim your right. Everyone thinks they are right.
