1] put a warm soak on it for 10 minutes, after your bath or shower [ so your area is clean ]
2] soak with a warm moist cloth for ten minutes
3] wear your glasses or use a magnifying glass to find the hair
4] 'tease' the hair loose, and then pluck it [ always pluck the ingrown hair out, or it can grow back in! ]
5] apply antibiotic ointment
6] wear looser panties and shorts til inflammation goes down.

go to sallys and buy a pair of "tweezerman" tweezers, they are made for ingrown hairs usually on men, i love them. they r as shaped like needles. after a long warm shower/bath, dry off and use the tweezers. They are costly but very worth it. like about $15-20. it might pinch at first when u break the surface but in a few minutes u will be fine. be sure to clean out the mucus and use peroxide to make sure it doesnt get infected.

Yeah I use tweezers too. Sometimes the pain to get it out is more worth it than the pain and sight of the actual ingrown hair.
Isn't it crazy what women do to have a nice looking bikini?
Oh boy...

Tweezers!!! Break the skin with a pin (clean pin, be gentle) and "pinch" at the broken skin with the tweezers to search for that stubborn hair. If you don't suceed at first, put some facial toner on the opened bump. That will help clear out some of the pus and hopefully move the little hair upwards to where you can pinch it out!!!

You have to give it some time... and you should try to avoid picking at it until you can see the hair. Keep it very clean, the warm washcloth technique mentioned above will help. Next time your out pick up a product called "Tend Skin" it will help you avoid future in growns. If you go to a salon to get waxed, then give them a call and ask to speak to your aesthetician... maybe she can help.

Get a very hot washcloth and let the sit on there for a few minutes over and over, that will open the pore and help reduce the swelling.

Try taking a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol...and rub it over the ingrown hair for a few days...that should dry it out...are you sure it's not a "boil"?

after a hot bath, put your fingertips around the inflamed follicle and force the fluid up to the top, essentially popping it. Then you can tweeze the hair out and the swelling will go down.
