Though all mammals are close, cats are not very similar to humans. They have 38 chromosomes to the human 46 total. The bones have different arrangement and the spine has different numbers of vertebrae in their respective sections. They are four footed toe walkers, humans not. There are obviously many differences physically and even more anatomical and metabolic.

Cats and humans are both mammals; they give birth to live young which are nursed on the mother's milk. They also both have four limbs.
