I have tried diet and exercise. I do admit to enjoying food a little too much. I havent always been this big. I was a amature body builder in my teens and early 20's.

No, I personally don't think you should pursue weight loss surgery because you may have psychological issues with food and it may have been possible that u use food to cope with your problems. I think it is best you see a registered dietitian and start a workout routine. Maybe you can start by walking after dinner for 15 min everyday. Then increase your workouts. Also, since you were a body builder, I think if you change your mind set, you may be able to change your health and physical appearance.

no way, man. Not at 295. I know a guy who lost 81 lbs in 6 months by dieting and hiking.

295 is not that big. Some football players weigh that much.

well is it fat or muscle? and personally i think surgery can screw you up even more, so do it the normal way, diet and excersize. remember to lose weight y ou have to burn more calories that you take in. So lose weight the regualr way, and if you get to 300 lbs i think u can actually get disability and you wont have to work lol. but yeah LOSE weight and GAIN muscle dawg

diet and exercise works for everybody. you just haven't been consuming enough healthy foods or getting regular high intensity exercise.

try a nutritionist. i would recommend surgery be the last thing you do it can really harm your insides.
