These cats have grown together and only recently have they gone into major cat fights. In fact, one of them bit and clawed my husband when he tried to break the fight up. Please help

Are these cats neutered? That could make a difference. It would be a good idea to neuter them; it will help with the "dominance" thing. Never get in the way of two fighting cats! Your husband learned the hard way.

My daughter has three cats; 2 male and 1 female. The males have been neutered the female has not been spayed but she is not in season. The males have been together since they were kittens. This is the first time the boys have fought to the point of being violent about it. My daughter was scratched trying to break them up. She has them separated for now. But we don't know where to go with this now.

Never get in the middle! Spray them with water. It usually works. They need to be neutered right away. The trouble is, sometimes they've already learned the behavior and it proves difficult to stop. Get them neutered ASAP and it should help. They can genuinely hurt each other trying to decide dominance.

Have them neutered. Toms will try to establish their territory and they each see the other as an intruder now that they are older. If they are already neutered, you will have to let them fight it out and determine which one is the dominant male.

I also have two male cats that grew up together. Although mine don't fight they just play-fight. You know roll around. Are your cats neurtered? that may be the reason. mostly because cats are territorial, especially male cats. if they are i would consult a vet.hope this helps

yeah, don't get in the middle. My bf did that last year and still has the scars from it. Now he just sprays them with a water bottle until they both run away. It works for him, so perhaps you could try that.
