Yes, that certainly qualifies as an eating disorder. Anorexia, bulemia, and emotional issues. You need to get your friend help fast. She won't last long like that- you really should tell someone what is happening to her. I would tell her parents or another trusted adult. A good friend like you would help your friend- don't feel like you're betraying her, because you're actually saving her life!

It is obvious that your friend has an eating disorder. get professional help as soon as possible. Don't mess around with being nice, let her know that she is thin and needs to eat a balanced diet! 1200 calories per day is a limited diet so how could she be living off 400 calories per day?
If you want to be a good friend then don't tolerate this behaviour from her! Good luck I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Definitely, yes! She needs help. Nobody can live on 400 calories a day. Tell her parents. You should try to help her or she will get very sick! I know from experience, it will get worse if she doesn't get help. Good luck!!

unfortunatly, you can't.
She will need to realize she has a problem and face it herself.but you can be there to encourage her.
hopefully, her family will see her getting really sick and get her the help she needs
