If you work out first thing in the morning you'll lose more fat than if you workout at other times. That is because your body has been using carbs as energy while you sleep. First thing in the morning you'll have less carbs in your system so your body burns more fat as fuel. Morning exercisers tend to be more consistent too. Working right before bed can interrupt your sleep cycle as well, and one important aspect of losing weight is making sure you get enough sleep. That being said, working out any time is always better than not working out ata ll.

Well, the answer to that is quite debatable, but I'll give you my take on it as a fitness pro:
For starters, I believe you should exercise whenever you have the most energy which is usually when your body temperature is the highest, if you can. There are morning "larks" and night "owls", then there are people that sorta fall in between. For those who fall in between, science shows that body temp. and rhythms peak at around 4pm-6pm for most people. So, first you must assess where you fall on that scale, because your circadian rhythm has a lot to do with how much energy and strength you have at certain times of the day. More strength and more energy equals more intense workouts- which means you'll burn way more calories and get way better results when you're at your energy peak for the day.
With that said, it may not be a good idea to lift weights or do INTENSE cardio within 3 hours of your bed time. This is because intense activity like this raises the body's temp and metabolism for hours afterward, probably delaying the onset of your sleep cycle.
One school of thought says that no matter what a morning workout in a fasted state burns the most fat, but plenty of science shows: 1.) What I mentioned above. 2.) Fasted-state cardio done first thing in the morning is highly catabolic, which means there is a greater tendancy for muscle breakdown which is actually counterproductive to what people want to achieve.
So, workout when you "feel like it", because chances are, that's the right time for your body. Don't get caught up in the myth that morning workouts are superior- it's all a matter of individual needs and preferences.

I think in the morning is better, at least if you want to lose weight. Because for example, cardio burns calories, But it burns the easiest avalibe calories. So if you have food in your system, it'll just burn that and when it's gone you;ll be hungry. But if you do cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, then it will then realease stored energy and you'll feel awake and alive and you wont feel hungry for a few hours.
I like to do cardio first thing in teh morning, it just leaves me feeling energized for the rest of the day.

you shouldn't work out before bed, you need to eat something after you train to recover your muscles glycogen stores and repair muscles, and you shouldn't eat too close to bed time, at least an hour or two before bed is good unless you are trying to gain weight. Your intended goals from exercise are important to identify what kinds of exercise the intensity and duration, time of day and frequency of your sessions. Good luck... i hope you find your answers!

for optimum results the earlier training is peformed the better. high intensity exercise is catabolic by nature and for most it takes several healthy meals after exercise for the body to shift back into a anabolic state. if there is not sufficient nutrients in the body after exercise recovery will be hampered

Of course! No matter how, when or where you work out remember to get some exercise. You could also try to watch the TV work-out exercise programs for ideas.
