what do u think about teen sex?

ive been reading so many question that involve 13-15 year old girls having sex already, and recently my bff said she wants to have sex. im not a prude or anything and im not going to wait for marriage but i think 13-16 is way too young and ridiculus. whats your opinion?

Let's be real here. No matter what parents, teachers, and whomever says or does, teenagers are going to be havign sex, and by the million. The sex-drives of young people just cannot be stopped. When there's a will, there's a way, and most of them will totally ignore all godd advice. Anyway, no matter what, they're gonna have sex. Nothing can be done, so it's gonna happen. That is a fact of life in general.

One can only hope that the teens involved will at least use some common sense, just a little wisdom enough, to procure and use some sexual pritection protection, to avoid pregnancy, and the catching of sexually transmitted diseases, especially the incurable HIV/AIDS. Tragically, too many very young sexually-active teens conceive babies so unnecessarily between the ages of as young as 12 or even younger into their later tens, bringing their own actual childhoods to an end. And for those that contract HIV/AIDS... comes a life of misery, and a very early terrible death, and the shame of having stupidly contracted HIV/AIDS in the first place. And all... just because they refused or neglected to use a condom, something so very cheap, or even available for free, and proven to be so very effective, available from just about everywhere. It's just so tragically sad, and so very stupid :-(

So, I very much agree with you, that sex at that age is just too risky, because at that age, teens that young are just too irresponsible to do the right thing, and at least get that protection if they're going to insist on having sex that young. it's just sad, the lives ruined, by that lack of responsibility. So very sad.

But... it can't stopped, and the consequences are just so terrible :-( And that's a danged shame :-(

I'm 17 and a virgin. I totally agree that it's too young. I definately couldn't imagine having a baby at my age. It's just plain ridiculous at how easy some of these young girls are. They start wearing makeup at age 11 and they look 15 or 16. It's actually getting to where someone sees a pretty teenager and assume "Oh she's having sex". Actually, I was in the mall the other day with my boyfriend and a guy walked by and said, "Yeah, he's hit that." I was WAY offended simply by the fact that he saw that I was pretty and assumed I was easy. I blame the young girls that make themselves slaves to the horny teenage guys' every wants and needs.

Oh, yeah. This sounds like the age to have sex.

13-16 is way too young to have sex.

Your body is not ready for sex, as it is still growing. You are also not emotionally mature to have sex. With sex, it comes with a lot of emotional consequences, especially when you first start to be sexually active. Also you are not ready for the consequences - STD, pregnancy, etc. There are so many STD's out there that people are not aware of - Human Pappiloma virus that causes abnormal Pap smear, hepatitis B and C, as well as the usual herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, HIV, etc. Condom is not 100% fool proof, that is, if any condom is use at all.

Wait until at least you are 18-20. Preferably wait until you are married.

I'm thumbs down for that!!! No way! Please... though the world is so modern and everyone thinks they ought to act liberated, the s-thing is sooo ridiculous for teens. I still believe, though how orthodox I may sound, that the s-thing should be reserved for marriage. Its one of the best gifts you could give to your future partner. That sweet pure chastity still rocks!!!

Many would be offensed, I guess. Peace out!!! Doing s-thing (outside marriage or while you're too young to make just decisions) don't seem right to me.

Plus... if the guy loves your bff he should not force her to do this or that. Love comes with respect- they're a package deal.

I had sex when I was 15, but I was in love with the guy. I never thought I was going to wait for marriage either, but I think it's okay when you are in love. Bottom line, if you're not comfortable with it, don't do it. If you think it's too young, don't do it. You should never have to compromise who you are or what you believe to suit someone else. it's kinda gross for it to be that young... i mean... nothing is really mature yet.... 17 is probably the youngest that is almost acceptable.... obviously 18 is fine, seeing how thats adult-age... but still. its probably not that responsible. alot of the times though... they do it just for the thrill.... just to have someone inside of them and that's irresponsible and immature. doing it while in a loving relationship is okay, but then comes the quesiton of what's true love? and that's a whole different story..... i'm not gonna be hypocritical or anything, i fell into the whole, "lets do it" trap, but luckily i was held back before i lost it when i found out my previous girlfriend was a slut....and she was 15... now its sickening cuz i'm a little older, but then it was okay... but still. its more or less a question of maturity...

yeah i think it's freakin' rediculous all the stories i hear. it just leads to very bad paths for both sexes.
if someone knows they can't wait until marriage, then the earliest i think they should have sex is 18, and not for legal reasons, but really because i think both sexes will really be able to recognize love from puppy love, and a genuine guy from a horny guy

I totally agree, that is way to young for that kind of stuff. If a person can't wait until they get married, at least wait until your 21. There will be time for that kind of stuff much, much later on.
