A father stabs his son once at 4am, son goes to hospital with his sister, father takes off, son is inn the hospital and has to get flown out to another hospital....family members tell officers they dont know anything about what happened. Son, the victim, doesnt tell the cops anythins at all...someone has told the cops what happened. But I am not sure who told anything because we, who were there did not say anything. Father is in jail, cant come back to the community waiting for bail hearing and sentencing??...what do you think he'll get maximum or minimum?

You witness a man stabbing his 4 year old and don't say anything? All of you need to go to the police right now!
Don't you think police and hospital can tell someone has been stabbed, and then ask victim, sister, etc.
Tell them the truth about what happened, or you're no better than he is. All who witnessed and said nothing should be ashamed.

sad situation however there must be proof Something or someone led police to the father. Dont let the police trick you into believing that they kow more than they do to get you to talk Look up penal codes in your state.Here you will find your answer. It will also depend on the fathers past criminal record if any. Good luck

well first of all if the district attorney handling the case wants to he could actually file attempted murder or attempted manslaughter charges on the father which would land him in the prison for a long time. otherwise as someone else said probation or (depending what state and county) up to 10-15 years in prison.

min-probation max-5 years would recommend you finding a good lawyer, ask around
