Were you hit, or are you just upset because the driver did not stop for you?

If you were hit, contact the police and file a report. If you are just upset they did not stop for you, let it go. The police are not going to care about something that minor!!

The same way you do with normal plates. You can't, this information is protected by the state. Now you can always contact the local Highway patrol and police department and report the incident. but you can not get information about anyone from a license plate. Just because a plate is personalized does not mean it can not be tracked, it has all the same information as a normal plate.

Report the incidents to the police. All license plates are registered with the DMV.

a personalized plate IS a license plate. Call the police and tell them the plate number and make and model of the car.

Every "personalized" plate I have ever seen was issued by the state government.

I mean the normal rule is you get some random string of letters & numbers like A7X90Z

but let's suppose you really LOVE Yahoo Answers, you coulld ask for say QAYAH0 & if no one else has already got that, then that can be your license pllate ... you have to pay a bit extra to get that.

Take the personalized plate info with the date, time, exact location and direction the car was traveling and file a report with the local police. They will look for the driver and chances are good they will discover something about him/her that will result in an arrest. They might even arrest the driver for Attempted Vehicular Assault.

Are you serious? A personalized plate is a regular licensed plate. Instead fo WDG 42X it is TRIXIE. Just report it and when they ask you what the plate said tell them.

Personalized plates are STILL legally registered plates.

They can be researched like any others.

The plate is registered with DMV and is legal. Report it to them.
