Yeah, all of you ancient religions were dead in sin bound for hell and Christ came, went to the cross, and died for your sins so you could be given the opportunity to believe on Him and receive everlasting life from God the Father. What a wonderful Lord, that the Lord Jesus Christ is toward us.

"we ancient religions and faiths lived life in peace"

You know very little about life in antiquity the Fertile Crescent, was at constant warfare ie. The Babylonians, Medians, Persians, Assyrians, Egyptians. The Greek city states were constant war. Western Europe's history was filled with turmoil as well. Also dynastic struggles tore China apart. Many of these wars used religion as a scapegoat for starting them (a scapegoat still used to justify warfare). Not to mention the sacrificial religions of the Americas.

So exactly where did you and your "ancient" faith live in peace.

In the times of past, it is true that many faiths practiced all kinds of worship that would be unacceptable today...ie...human sacrifice, etc...
Christianity did not just appear out of nowhere!
It is my belief that everything, Yes,
ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, had to happen just the way it did for any of us to be here today....and right where you are right now is where you are meant to be.
I strongly suggest you get the Blue Book and start reading up on the history of your chosen faith, before making such broad statements on a forum such as this.
Remember, complete and accurate information, stating sources...and maybe a big dose of love and tolerance.

Child, the pagans of the preChristian era were just as bloodthirsty as the Abrahamic peoples that came along after then. The Witches and Druids were human sacrificers as were the Incas, Mayans and other Pagans. With the burning times however, the Pagans quickly saw, learned, and understood that killing is NOT the way to carry on. We learned quickly, how to hide ourselves and get along peacefully. We just did it sooner than the Abrahamic peoples did. If fact, THEY are only just starting to see that you CAN'T force a particular religion down anyone's throat.

Have you ever read a history book? The Jews warred with many a pagan culture, the Greeks warred among themselves and with the Persians, the Germanic tribes loved killing each other, the Celts were awesome naked warriors against the Romans and Greeks (and each other), the Pagan Arabs were notorious for their tribal disputes (and burying their baby girls alive)... Must I go on?

(Psst...Catherine... the Prophet Mohamed founded Islam AFTER Christianity.)

Nice in general, only it's got a number of small flaws.

Historically X-ians were able to co-habit within a multi-spritual culture until it started getting pro-active late 'Dark Ages'/early Middle Ages.

It's this pro-active movement that started agressively claiming power from women etc etc etc...

Where did all of these people live in peace? Are you referring to the Incas? Or maybe the Mayans? That's it. It must be the Mayans you're referring to.

When was that?? Things were always this way.
There are just more people and things are done in a different way than ancient. God was there then too, Jesus wasn't born yet. Who do you think created all those ancient things and people?
