Atheists believe in lots of things. Just not gods.

We aren't against God, nor are we mad at him. Are YOU against leprechauns? Are YOU mad at the Tooth Fairy?

Do YOU believe in Zeus, Odin, Chrishna, or any of the other THOUSANDS of gods that humans have worshiped throughout history (long before the Biblical God was invented)? Atheists simply believe in ONE LESS god than Christians do.

I personally could NEVER be a Christian, even if their God did exist. The Bible says that God drowned, tortured, and slaughtered millions, conspired to have his own kid beaten and executed, and repeatedly commanded his followers to hurt and kill thousands of other people. I know that none of that stuff is 'good', 'moral', or 'loving'. If you or others think a sadistic being like that deserves admiration, then you are free to worship him.

Atheists believe in one less God than you do. After all, you don't believe in the 10000 or so other known Gods, do you?
Why don you, for instance, not believe in Odin? Or Minerva? What do you have against Ma'at? Are you mad at Anansi?

Sounds like such a trivial difference between atheists and Christians, doesn't it?

All religions are worldview. Atheism however isn't it is simply the lack of belief in god. There is no other prerequisite for atheism.

I am not against god. What an absurd notion to be against that which I think doesn't exist. Burden of proof is on the one making the positive claim (god exists) not the one saying prove it. You have 0 evidence for gods existence, just like you have 0 evidence for the Flying Spaghetti monster, but you don't believe in it do you?

Scientist can be wrong, yes in fact science is all about doubt and correcting itself. Funny how when a flaw is found in your books you blame the reader(s).

I don't choose to be atheist just as I chose to be rational. It is irrational to believe in something when you don't have evidence for it. How can I be mad at something I don't think exists? Its not that I don't want to believe, in fact I hope that I am wrong. If you really want to delve deep into the community of atheism and find out some really awesome things check out my link below.

Atheists believe in many things,we just don't believe in the existence of god.
You are quite correct when you say there cannot prove that he doesn't exist but likewise it cannot be proved that he does.
Why do people choose to be atheist?
Personally it was through studying the bible which I found to be quite simply unbelievable and also the fact that there is not one single shred of evidence to show the existence of a god

Why do I need to believe anything?

There are lots of things I know. Many things that I trust.

Lack of evidence against something is a very poor reason to believe in it.

Do you believe in dragons because there is no evidence that they do not exist? What about unicorns? Or mermaids?

You do not believe in those things because there is not evidence for them. Why does god get special treatment?

I am not going to shove atheism down your throat, but try to think about your reasoning.

I believe in a lot of things, it just happens that none of them are supernatural. See, I don't believe in things if there is no evidence that they are real. There is no objective evidence that god/s are real, so it seems most likely to me that they aren't. It is true that there isn't evidence that god/s aren't real; that is true of all things we accept to be myths, like the Tooth Fairy. We can't prove she isn't real, but because there's no evidence that she *is* we accept that she's a myth. God/s should have to meet the same standards of evidence as everything else.

Atheists are not "against" god/s. We aren't angry, we aren't being petulant children, and we aren't trying to annoy our parents. Most atheists have thought and studied and researched for a long time before reaching the conclusion that they do not believe in god/s.

1) you cant be mad at something you dont believe in.

are you mad at my Flying Spaghetti Monster since you dont believe in him ? i believe in him.. hes real.. b/c i said so.

You see what i mean ? thats ridiculous.. and i'm in no way trying to offend you or relate your god to the Spaghetti Monster.

2) you cant disprove god.. nor do we try to. Again for example.. I say the Spaghetti Monster exists.. now try to prove to me that he doesn't .. exactly.. you cant. But the same goes for you... you cant prove god with the bible.. and you cant prove the bible.. with the bible

why do i have to believe in something ? I dont believe.. nor do i disbelieve in A GOD or GODS. I dont consider myself an atheist or an agnostic. I am just happy with my life.. and appreicate everything I have

I've simply never believed in gods.

I know it must be difficult to understand (I respect that). I'm sure it's just as mysterious to me trying to understand why you actually believe there is a god.

Do you assume that because Atheist don't believe in God, they must have no beliefs. Have you not read many times on this forum what they do and do not believe in. Do you assume that because they don't believe as you do they have no beliefs. They are not mad at God. How can they be mad at something they don't believe in? Don't be dense. Read, understand. They do not believe in a God or higher intelligence. Accept it and go from there.

From the term atheist all I can infer is that they do not believe in a deity, they can believe in any number of things, like green mongooses planning to invade the earth from space.
