I don't know much about Christian Gothic, but as long as your faith does not conflict with tGod's Word (Bible) then it doesn't matter how you dress or look. Jesus loves you for who you are.

As someone who is actively involved with the local Goth scene, I know there are some Christians among us but most of us are Pagan. We all respect each other and religion doesn't play a part in our common interest. I find the idea of being a Christian goth a bit odd, but if it works for them, who am I to say it's wrong?

@ sametwo: It is EMOS who slit their wrists.

As far as Christian goths, I think they dress the part but it would be impossible to have a Christian who believes what most goths do.

In my perspective, any one can be a christian.

There are alot of bad things associated with being a goth though.

If you wanted to persue the look thats fine.

But I think that Christ wouldn't be to happy with the deeper acts than that of the look.

The Goths were barbarians, existing CENTURIES ago. Goths existed BEFORE "christ" was "born". The word 'goth' is older than ENGLISH. I say anyone who claims the name of a goth is a ******* liar. A fake. Goths had nothing to do with bondage pants and bull **** like Type O Negative.

If anyone wants to prance around calling themselves goths, AND they want to believe in 'Jesus', then **** it. Let it be. They're already dumb enough.

There no differant than any other goth. Which is to say, they're awkward teenagers who wear too much eyeliner.

Goth means a crude uncouth ill-bred person lacking culture or refinement.
But Christians are the Children of GOD.
How come you compare this two ?

Gothic was originally a term that referred to a style of Christian architecture right? Then death rockers picked it up because that gloomy vibe fit their thing. So it makes sense for Christians to use that style, its just going back to a medieval feeling.

a very strange combination. if you mean goth as in "death isn't scary, black is a cool colour" then whatever. too much skulls, odd piercings and stuff sends a bad message though. if you mean goth as in "embrace/worship darkness, complete pessimist", then we may have a problem.

realism is best.
