Come on! Aren't you even the little bit curious to know what's on the other side? Fear it? How about that's the last fun thing you get to do. I don't thing it's the fear of death as more a fear of dying alone.

Once you know what death is, you don't fear it. Ecclesiastes 9:5 tells us that the dead are conscious of nothing. And Acts 24:15 tells us that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. Those are just two scriptures out of many that tell us about death.
Consider the example of Lazarus. He was dead for several days before Jesus resurrected him, and he did not mention an afterlife. I think that would be something that he would mention. And if he were in a "better place", why would Jesus resurrect him?

Most of them are teenagers, and death seems like a foreign concept, or they lie to themselves and say they are sure of the outcome. However, were you to put that person in a near-death situation 99 percent of them would panic.
It is only natural to have some fear of death, (saves them from doing totally reckless endeavors) however, we should not let this fear consume us, or prevent us form living our lives.

I do a little bit but I am different from most in that respect. I mean when I am on a plane and it hits really bad turbulence I kind of hope it goes down. Also when there is an earthquake I pray that the building will collapse. However I wouldn't kill myself, I feel strangely obligated to live life even though I don't like it much.

No I do not fear death, I have my reasons , And the word death ,I like to say passing,I can not wait till it come my time to meet our Lord. He tells me not to fear, no one but Him and nothing but His judgment. As far as the way I die That is something me and the Lord have discussed , And now I don't worry about that now, because I have a faith in Our Lord and I trust In what He says, But a lot who are unsaved and dose not no of the valley of the shadow ,Yes I would be scared to death,,,But as for me, He has set me free of Fear.....That day though will be the most happiest reunion Day and I cant wait...God bless

Almost anybody with any years behind them has pondered their mortality, and it's been my experience that most will audaciously claim that they are NOT afraid of death (particularly from 'quasi-brave' adolescents).
So then, everyone IS going to die,... and it IS a fact.
Given that, what is there to fear?
I feel the answer to that lies not so much in death itself, but more in how one will go about dying?
Many will say that they "Don't fear The Reaper"...
...and, who knows, --- maybe they don't.
But deep down inside the hollow of everyone's soul, whether admitted or not, is the fear of His 'Scythe'...
...for no one knows whether it will be sharp or dull when Death comes to swing it at them...

I was close to death once. My right lung collapsed and had pushed all my internal organs to one side. My blood pressure had skyrocketed along w/ my heart rate. I was in tremendous pain, and I couldn't breathe.
But I lay there on the table in the ER thinking, "I may die. I'm okay with that."
And I honestly was. Not that my life wasn't worth living - quite the opposite. I was prepared to accept the moment as it came.
I remind myself often that some day, sooner or later, I am going to die. I try to live in a way so that when that moment comes I don't have any regrets. I'm not always successful at that, but I do try.

I don't live my life in fear of death. That does not mean that I want to die, or that I would not be afraid if death was imminent. I would be more sad than afraid; sad at the many things that I haven't done yet, and sad because of the pain that my loved ones would feel.

Some people are NOT lying, those who truly believe in God and know that if they lead a decent life and believe, will see a marvelous afterlife before them for all eternity. What they fear is leaving behind loved ones. And are in fear of how the loved ones will handle the rest of their life on earth without them.

I don't really fear death. there's nothing to fear about oblivion - it's like fearing sleep - or fearing not being born.
I fear pain alright! I don't want to die a horrible death. I fear being buried alive, or hit by a bus, or drowning. but that's not the same thing.
I guess (if I'm honest) the idea of me not existing after I'm dead is a bit unnerving ... but as I said above - no more unnerving (when you think about it) than the idea of not existing before I was born.
