Shouldn't it be a little warmer than the norm for most beers?

Imperial Stouts release more flavor at cellar temperature, which to me means 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit. Too much colder and it will just seem cold and thick and less enjoyable.

The bottom line is however you like you like your beer served is how you should serve it. Although, serve a Imperial Stout with some nice dark chocolate. Its an awesome combo.

It should be around 52 degrees, but if you dont like it that warm than whats the point. I dont listen to what the beer experts say about it, try it a few different ways and see what you like.
