I think Godly love is unconditional. Probably the closest thing would be maternal love but even in that case its not completely unconditional. I mean a mother only has that love for her own child so the condition of parenthood must be met. That's still conditional. But Godly love doesn't discriminate in any way.

Agape(noun) or agapao(verb), the Greek word family used for the love of God in the New Testament, is usually the focus of a question about different kinds or levels of love in a religious setting. In fact, Greek has 4 words which are related to the English word, "love."

These are not necessarily "better" or "worse," just different. They focus on different aspects of interpersonal relationships. The traditional description of agape is "love which seeks the others best interest."

Godly love is that which comes from a superior being; or in my opinion, lack thereof.

Love... What I have for my Husband..

Godly love.... Agape Love.. Love which I could only dream of accomplishing this side of eternity but come up short... Agape love is unconditonal love...Most people put conditions on their love. Such as..

"I love you but if you have an affair on me, it's over..." God loves us warts and all....

godly love involves things like jealousy, genocide, hate towards your parents after you "accept jesus", stonings...etc..
