If the stories and miracles are really true, someone would have video taped them happening right? I mean, if they did happen, where is the proof?

Fine, I don't need a video. A black and white photo of the red sea parting would be enough! Can you even show me that Christians?

I think there is a place for sarcasm... like on the R+S section. It is about the only language non-believers understand. My fellow believers on the other hand, may need some practice.

I am Very Sad to see this especially with what has been going on in the World - the Middle East - Prophecies from the Bible being PUT on our NEWS (Locally, Nationally and Internationally). They are talking a lot of the Middle East right Now!

In the BOOK of Daniel (Of the Bible) it is prophesied that One would come forth to speak to the World that Israel would be Wiped Out and be no more!

The president of Iran 8 Months Ago - THIS DID HAPPEN!

There is a stone (Vary Large) that has the EXACT story of Exodus - the Israelites leaving Egypt via: Moses! The Pharaoh was As moses his mother's body was Just Found Today! He did Everything he could to wipe anything regarding his mother! This WAS ANNOUNCED JUST TODAY OF THE NEWS ON ABC early this evening! She was the MOST POWERFUL WOMEN IN THE WORLD - Durring 'That' Time.

The Stone IS QUITE PHYSICAL! It has been dated back 2000 further back than the Movie that was made about it! They (The Movie Makers) had the date off! History Channel had a 3-hour Special on it and they Explained EVERYTHING - down to finding the bodys of the young male sons of the Pharohs that died durring this!

Is 'All of THIS' enough Proof for YOU! It only confirmed what I already believed!

Israel was NOT a Nation or Country until 1948! It became a Nation - Again for the first time in 2500 years. THIS DID HAPPEN!

HOW, could Anyone at this point doubt the Holy Word of God! Everything in the Bible IS TRUE - HAS/WILL HAPPEN!

Peace and Grace Be Unto you ALL!

Take Care and God Bless!

The only proof is the bible, miracles happen on faith. It is so quickly judged that none really catch the meaning, I can at least think of two reasons the bible could be proven true:

A) There are numerical codes in the Bible when you translate the Old Hebrew letters back to the numbers they represent, all the sentences total up to 7,11,7,11,etc., when you total the numbers and digits. All of the codes in the bible show that people write many different things at different times, but the codes from God remain constant. If you haven't heard about the codes, they are so elaborate that people can't contain them in books.
Another example would be the Old Testaments names. If you take all of the numbers and translate them too the Hebrew meanings, they tell the story of Christ, literally.Beginning before he was born.
Another example would be the Book of Revelations. In it it says "Let him who has an ear understand, calculate the number of the Beast, for that number is the number of a man, that number is 666." Starting at the beginning of the Book of revelations throughout to the end every translated 666th letter spells out: Satan The Accuser.

B)Throughout the Bible, there are so many occasions where prophecy is fulfilled, This represents the spreading of knowledge through a being beyond time, to me that being can only be God.

Also I ask that you consider this, all these codes couldn't be detected by man, only computer programs meant to decode texts, when one man decided to try this. Does this prove even more that God, who is beyond time, knew about computers way back then? And does this mean that all of our speech is beyond us, controlled by him?
I just ask that you consider these miracles, by definition, and look more prudently through all of the religious texts. Don't get me wrong I don't force religion, I just state what is underrated.

We read about it in history. If just one person was a witness I could see your point, but the fact in the matter is that we have hundred of accounts of what happened. Let me ask you a question? If you read these accounts and also heard of the 12 disciples who were with Jesus during His walk on earth and every one of them died for their faith wouldn't that make you think? I don't know too many people today that when put under the persecution that His disciples went through wouldn't say " OK I don't want to die this is just a story" but as we read this is not the case.

Miracles sometimes are a tool for unbelievers. And believers also but to a lesser extent. But we can see from the reaction of Israel coming out of Egypt that even the wow effect of miracle after miracle wears off. So even if a miracle smack dab hits you in the face, without faith you still wouldn't believe. You want a real miracle? Ask God to show himself to you. Of course you have to put your pride down first. It's all from the heart. You don't fool God.

I'll agree with the poster in front of me. There were signs given in the Bible thousands of years ago and they are happening right in front of you. You don't see them because you're living your own life. To see the things you're looking for you have to look for them. You are hanging out in places that will prevent that from happening.

You don't need video evidence to prove the authenticity of the Bible. The numerous flaws, contradictions, myths, fantasies, and nonsense in that book, are all you need to expose the fact that a perfect being, such as God, could have had no hand or influence in it's fabrication.

There were NO video cameras back then.
And why would they think of capturing the stories
when to them, they were just living life.
It'd be like us video taping every little special
'story or moment' that happened in our lives.
The proof is the bible. You can choose to believe
it or not. It's your choice. We will all find out the
real truth when we die, but really what more do you need?

Isaiah 43:9 (New International Version)

9 All the nations gather together
and the peoples assemble.
Which of them foretold this
and proclaimed to us the former things?
Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right,
so that others may hear and say, "It is true."

This must be your attempt at sarcasm.

It's kind of like when "Christians" try to be rock stars: sad and pathetic and ill-executed.

But in answer to your question, yeah, I can see why the Bible isn't true.

But then I read this from another answerer: "The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus has more documented evidence than any other historical figure. It's easier to prove that Jesus existed than that Julius Caesar existed -- again, because there are more documents from eyewitnesses."

It's really amazing to me that people can LIE like this and think they can get away with it. And these are outrageous and even stupid lies; a majority of "Christians" would laugh at anybody who claimed there was more historical evidence for Jesus than Caesar.

Well of course Paul does cite several hundred eye-witnesses to the resurrection in 1 Corithians 15...
