I don't no if this will help you, but please open your mind up to what I'm about to tell you.I have been out of school for a very, very long time. Looking back at things i thought were a matter of life and death like a test or passing to the next grade. Sure they were the most important things in my life at that given time and thought if i failed my life wouldn't be the same. But now oh how i wish i could go back to that easy stress free time in my life when life was fun and so care free. What I'm trying to say here is what you think is a problem isn't nothing it's just a very small speck of your life that will mean nothing to you in a year .Calm yourself down and think to yourself when you set down to take that test ,this is only a test it's not your life, your life hasn't even started yet.

Yes. Some relaxation tips.

- Sit down strait in your chair and take a few breaths and
relax.

- Hold your breath for eight counts. Breath out through your mouth to the count of seven. Repeat this technique three times.

- Get a good night's sleep early before the test.

- For a couple of hours before a test, stay away from heavy food – or, if you must, just sample something light.

- Pause whenever you need to break the tension. Close your eyes and practice head rolls or another relaxing exercise.

- WHAT EVER YOU DO! do NOT panic about the test. That just causes your brain to suffer trama and makes you more tense. Just calm down and focus. Don't think about anything else, that just gets your mind off track.

Hope these tips helped you, good luck!!

Hi,

I am studying at the moment and I have plenty of exams to come and also completed plenty.
I to get nervous before my exams, thinking am I going to pass or not.
When it comes to the time I sit and try and relax, take a few deep breathes and think of it as if it's just a moc exam.
Generally the first answer that comes to mind is correct, don't sit and ponder to much over questions. Do the ones you know then go back over the ones you missed, repeat this process till you are finished.

This works for me as my last exam I passed with a mark 98%.

Best of Luck and remember to Breathe and Relax

Sounds weird, but for a few minutes every day before the test, visualize yourself sitting at the desk, taking the test. Think about how calm you'll be and how you'll be able to think about each question and answer it. Visualize yourself being very relaxed while taking the test. This will train your brain to settle down and think during the test and will hopefully help you approach the whole situation more calmly and confidently.

Relax . Study a lot . On your way to school , read over your notes so you feel extra confident . During the test , if there's something that you don't understand , just skip it , and go back to it when you're done everything else . Take deep breaths and just think about how much you studied . Good luck sweetie - hope you get a great mark :)

well, first you could try studing a little in the morning before you take the test.... then when you are about to take the test try to relax... just think that you are going to do your best and not let it get to you as bad... if you understood the work in summer school then you should do good on the test.... and remember.... its okay, the test is meant to scare you.... and you will do fine....

Visualize yourself taking the test all calm, cool, and collect and imagine what that would be like. Think positive thoughts and push out the negative self-destructive thoughts. Realize that you can do it and then go and take that test with confidence.

If you can eat during the test, eat something chocolate-y, or before the test. It calms you down and you'll be more relaxed.

wow - ever stop to think that all you are doing is making yourself nervous by constantly saying that you get nervous?

Positive thoughts are essential - if you don't want to be nervous you have to TELL yourself you aren't going to be. You have to TELL yourself you know the material. You have to TELL yourself you will ace the test...
