To answer your question, it took me 30 LONG years before I saw the truth light.

Directed to Thar:
Some of your comments, and my thoughts:

“--DID THE EARLY CHRISTIANS & PROPHETS OF OLD have all prophecies down pat without any adjustments as to their understanding?
--WHERE DO YOU GET THE IDEA that to make a mistake in PROPHECY is equal to teaching false doctrine?”

No, the early Christians that you site WERE NOT prophecing. If there is a mistake in prophecy, then it is not a prophecy from God but a prophecy from MAN! The mistakes your refer to as flawed were exactly what the WBTS do, they read (they heard or dreamed) and INTERPRET from themselves what God is saying, then continue to prophecy but add their twist, spin, and interpretation to it. THAT is what makes them false prophets. Even if they get some of it right, the fact that they start to speak for God something that he has not said lumps them in with FALSE prophets.

”--WHEN JESUS APOSTLES & disciples asked Jesus this question , DID HE CALL THEM FALSE PROPHETS because they did not know the answer:”

Your scriptural support and reasoning is flawed!!! The early Christians, specifically the apostles here in your quotes, WERE ASKING QUESTIONS of Jesus. They were NOT prophecing---they were LEARNING!!!!

”--SO WHAT IS YOUR point , tell us what you have discovered about Jehovah's witnesses and the imperfect organization that both Jehovah God & Christ Jesus are using especially since 1914 AD--that causes you such great concern?
**OR HAVE I touched on your beef with us & the society we are using?”

I hesitate to speak for the questioner, but I believe what her point is that the WBTS are FALSE PROPHETS, not just imperfect man learning as they go. I also am imperfect, however I DO NOT PROPHECY in God’s name stating that I am the ONLY source of truth and light. That is something TOTALLY different than what you in your response.

”--DO YOU KNOW what an invalidator is?
--It is someone who tries to make invalid what someone says, or feels (even if he is sincere)even when he has references to a question!

So, by your own definition then, JW”s are invalidators too, so does that lump you in with Hitler, also?

Directed in response to Agape:

"Korah and some 250 people during Moses' time had the same mental attitude just like you (Number chap 16). Korah and his assembled people questioned the authority and found faults in the leadership of Moses provided by God. In fact, even his own brother, Aaron and own sister Miriam questioned the authority of Moses asking, "Is it just by Moses alone that Jehovah has spoken...?" "

You have placed the WBTS (or they have placed themselves) in the same position as Moses. If Moses had lead them astray, told them that he was going to lead them out on this day, changed to that date, again and again, they SHOULD have found fault with him. However, HE truly was in the position that God placed him in. EVERYTHING he did in relationship to leading God's people happened. He didn't jump ahead of God, or interpret what God said into something that he thought. THEN, when he did err, he was punished for it (didn't make it into the promise land). So, I truthfully ask YOU, Is it only by the WBTS that God speaks???? YOU think so, however, I doubt that God does because he cannot lie, and if the society lies in His name, he is NOT with that organization.

"Going back to those who murmured against Moses, the 250 men including Korah perished. This should be a lesson for us today... a lesson not to question those appointed by Jehovah to take the lead. If anything is questionable, turn to Jehovah himself to set things straight. I know it is easier said then done... but this one of many ways to show our faith in God."

The WBTS does not want you to question them, for they BELIEVE and have convinced JW's that THEY are appointed by "Jehovah" to take the lead. I did question, turned to God and he lead me OUT of the society.

BTW, one of many qualities expected from a christian is humility. When the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society make a mistake in regards to some Bible understanding, they humbly admit it.

I do not consider it being humble to admit when they are wrong, to convince people it never happened, or that followers just misunderstood what they said. I was there in 1975. They said it!

in response to achtung:

"Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as "predictions" or "prophesying"."

Yes, they pretend to be inspired. "We are the ONLY organization with God's Holy Spirit" "We're the only source of truth and light" (these are paraphrases of course) .
They can call it bible research all they want, but their publications state differently, they say, "we researched and THIS is the truth, or THAT is the truth, based on that research." Then they add THEIR interpretations to scriptural revelations, times, and prophecies.

"What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?"

Work as hard as you want, Satanist work hard too, but they DON"T have the truth either. Works alone does not make what is performed truthful. Spend millions of hours going door to door, making return visits, have bible studies, if you are not teaching the truth, it is of NO USE! It is folly.

Lemming Princess, You know they will follow the U.I.B* no matter what they say.

What I find really interesting is the JW's used to say that the U.I.B.* were prophets of God and never made false prophesies. It was Just Christians who falsely accused them of that. It looks like they have changed their tactics. Now its seems that they claim that the "prophesies" were just guesses and have been "corrected".

It also seems that now they teach that even Gods Prophets can and did make mistakes. (false prophesies).
So when Paul says that, "The Church is built on the foundation of the Apostles and the Prophets," (Eph 2:20) then it logically follows that the Church is built on a "false" foundation?

As for "tha" above, does he really believe that the Disiples "asking questions" is equal to a Prophet speaking, "In the Name of the Lord"?

This is what happens when you follow U.I.B.'s*.
Apparently you become one yourself.

Reading Achstung and Agapes answers, they seem to be saying that because the *U.I.B.'s admit mistakes (false prophesies) HUMBLY, then, this makes them NOT to be False Prophets.(A false prophet who "ADMITS" to being a false prophet, really ISN'T a false prophet?)
And don't forget; for years the *U.I.B.'s claimed to be "Gods Propheticlike Organization".
Gods Propheticlike Organization makes mistakes?
Either God does not know how to communicate a message or their claim is false.

One thing is SURE:

GODS PROPHETS DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES. PERIOD.

The Prophets might not have always understood what they were prophesing, but the prophesies ALWAYS came true. Or WILL be fulfilled in the future.

God does not have to depend on people "understanding" His message to fulfill His Word. The O.T. prophets themselves did not fully understand how Messiah could be BOTH Suffering Servant, and the Reigning Son of David, but they faithfully prophseised BOTH.

"...the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries,
seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow." (1 Peter 1:10-11)

So, even though the Prophets did not usally understand fully the things they prophesied, THEY ALWAYS GOT THEM RIGHT.

You've got to remember, the Bible calls such people like the JW's "Spiritually Dead" and unable to understand.

It takes the Holy Spirit to understand these things. And by their own admission only 144,000 have the spirit (small "s")

Paul said if a person, "does not have the Spirit of Christ," He has not Christ. (Romans 8:19)
And Jesus said the Spirit will reveal the things of Christ. So of course they are ignorant of Christs' Person and Teachings.

Awhile back, in a similar question, I asked them if the U.I.B.* changed three standard JW doctrines, would they just accept the new teaching, or would they finally start to question them.

Of the answers only one JW said that he might not go along with the new teaching.

They couldnt even dare to question a hypothetical.

But if you look at the relatively new developments with the issue of Blood Transfusions, (the U.I.B.* is redefining what "eating blood" is) you see the average JW buying the "new teaching".
(Of course with children dying and the public starting to turn the heat on Brooklyn, didn't you just KNOW that the "doctrine" would start to undergo a "light getting brighter" definition?)

Oh, and one last thing, don't count on them to stop with all of the "Links". They really are incapable of thinking for themselves. They HAVE to have them.

Otherwise they have no idea what to say.

I know that whatever answer i give you tonight or any of my fellow brothers&sisters will not make you change your mind about the WBTS.

So, really, what is the purpose of your question? and i'm asking in the most sincere way possible.

Korah and some 250 people during Moses' time had the same mental attitude just like you (Number chap 16). Korah and his assembled people questioned the authority and found faults in the leadership of Moses provided by God. In fact, even his own brother, Aaron and own sister Miriam questioned the authority of Moses asking, "Is it just by Moses alone that Jehovah has spoken...?"

Does the concept sound familiar? Aren't you not asking almost the same question? In a sense that you are asking us "is it really through the Governing Body (WBTS) alone that Jehovah has spoken?"

Today, unfortunately, have the same mental attitude. Some have concentrated on the imperfections of those in positions (such us the governing body or the elders) oversighting the congregation which usually leads to the criticizing of the "WBTS/faithful and discreets slaves."

Sadly, some showed impatience and lack of understanding of the Bible in some aspect of Christian teaching and have murmured against the earthly part of Jehovah’s organization. Impatience in a sense that they believe that God does not progressively reveal the truth (new light) nor do they believe that the current understanding of some Scriptures is bound to be refined from time to time.

... for those of us that may sometimes have a hard time understanding a certain verse or bible text or may have a few question, we leave it up to Jehovah to shed some light... and yes, through is faithful and discreet slaves.

and truly, having a waiting attitude especially toward those who Jehovah uses to help others understand His purpose for mankind truly has been a blessing.... and peace of mind that we are, even during this time of the end have stayed faithful to Jehovah.

Going back to those who murmured against Moses, the 250 men including Korah perished. This should be a lesson for us today... a lesson not to question those appointed by Jehovah to take the lead. If anything is questionable, turn to Jehovah himself to set things straight. I know it is easier said then done... but this one of many ways to show our faith in God.

BTW, one of many qualities expected from a christian is humility. When the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society make a mistake in regards to some Bible understanding, they humbly admit it.

When Jehovah's Witnesses have made a mistake, they have corrected it. Does the questioner argue that such humility is an undesirable quality?

Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as "predictions" or "prophesying".

Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated "out among the brothers"!

For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.

(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”

Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term "prophet" only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a "prophet" (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work in our day leading up to Armageddon.

What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?

(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.

(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

--DID THE EARLY CHRISTIANS & PROPHETS OF OLD have all prophecies down pat without any adjustments as to their understanding?
--WHERE DO YOU GET THE IDEA that to make a mistake in PROPHECY is equal to teaching false doctrine?
--WHEN JESUS APOSTLES & disciples asked Jesus this question , DID HE CALL THEM FALSE PROPHETS because they did not know the answer:

(Acts 1:6-7) “6 When, now, they had assembled, they went asking him: “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” 7 He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction;. . .”
***SEVERAL WAYS THEY WERE WRONG:
#1. They thought Israel would once again become the sight of true worship, with perhaps temple worship installed which was totally incorrect because
#2. There asking "ARE YOU RESTORING THE KINGDOM TO ISRAEL AT THIS TIME " was quickly corrected TO THE PERIOD for our time , THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM--not in the churches but in heaven!
--WHEN HABAKKUK asked the following concern to Jehovah in prayer, Did the angel slap down the prophet as false:
(Habakkuk 1:2-3) “2 How long, O Jehovah, must I cry for help, and you do not hear? [How long] shall I call to you for aid from violence, and you do not save? 3 Why is it that you make me see what is hurtful, and you keep looking upon mere trouble? And [why] are despoiling and violence in front of me, and [why] does quarreling occur, and [why] is strife carried?....You are too pure in eyes to see what is bad; and to look on trouble you are not able. Why is it that you look on those dealing treacherously, that you keep silent when someone wicked swallows up someone more righteous than he is? .
--WHAT KIND ANSWER WAS HE GIVEN, Please note:
(Habakkuk 2:2-3) “. . .And Jehovah proceeded to answer me and to say: “Write down [the] vision, and set [it] out plainly upon tablets, in order that the one reading aloud from it may do so fluently. 3 For [the] vision is yet for the appointed time, and it keeps panting on to the end, and it will not tell a lie. Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It will not be late.”
--WAS HE TOLD to be quiet because he did not have the exact time of Jehovah's intervention OR was he told to write prophecies down and tell it to the innocent people?
--AND WARN THE WICKED and the false religions that ARMAGEDDON IS in the making--SOON?
--SO WHAT IS YOUR point , tell us what you have discovered about Jehovah's witnesses and the imperfect organization that both Jehovah God & Christ Jesus are using especially since 1914 AD--that causes you such great concern?
**OR HAVE I touched on your beef with us & the society we are using?

--DO YOU KNOW what an invalidator is?
--It is someone who tries to make invalid what someone says, or feels (even if he is sincere)even when he has references to a question!
--In the book NASTY PEOPLE by Jay Carter , reference is made to invalidators doing just that very easily and try to take dignity from people.
--Hitler is referenced as a "master invalidator" -he did so by closing his eyes and mind to the good things Jews, Polish & other nationalities, Gypsies, Jehovah's witnesses and many others did.
--Thus he could carry out attrocities, by also invalidating the suffering of others by not ever going to the concentration camps, hospitals etc.
--SO WHEN you attack us or our society so easily and make such sweeping comments, what you are doing is sweeping any vestage of truth the answer we give you might contain out the door, to your convience
--When you ignore an answer no matter what you think of it and belittle it(especially if it is referenced by Scripture) by saying we have been programmed , you could resemble that great invalidator! Do you like that kind of company?
--BY THE WAY shouting involves the whole text in upper case, I use upper case in the way I do in all my answers, & after the 1000 answers I have given, you are the only one that has overreacted to my emphasis!
