Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means YHVH Saves.

the root word used in Jesus' name is "I AM" from the time of Moses. This is God's name. Jesus was named this way because he is, I AM. He is God with us.

it refers to the guy who allegedly did and said those things that are spoken of in the New Testament. if he said what it's claimed he said, he was a great moral philosopher. I tip my hat to the dude.

if he did what it's said he did (including being born from a virgin, walking on water, and rising from the dead) then everything we've learnt about science in the last few hundred years needs to be thrown out of the window. I choose not to believe that is the case.

also, it's an expletive meaning "Ouch! I hit my thumb with the hammer!"

A supposed "Messiah", who, despite his large following, is just like all the other supposed "Messiah"s, a mere human. There is little evidence that he even existed to begin with.

Supposed "eye-witnesses", (despite the fact that their writings are over 40 years after the fact) wrote stories about him, depicting him as a superhero like character. These four "books" then made it into the New Testament.

Another dead guy, if he existed at all. A character in a book that might have loosely been based on a guy that had died decades earlier by people who never met him.
