Carbon credits are plenary indulgences.
Heretics will answer to the Inquisition. There will be a "green" version of burning at the stake for those who refuse to convert.
Heaven is what they plan to create on Earth. Only the pure will be allowed to enter.

Global warming is a reality, what ever anybody says
that much has been proved
And humanity has speeded up the Natural cycles .
and the results will be powerfull enough to make everybody sit up even the athiests and especially the already confused believers
Religions on the other hand are rich and powerfull mens fantasies to control humanity
Note the word fantasy that is oposite from reality
And it is usually the religious people who compare Global Warming to religion because that is the only concept they can grasp
Are you religious ????
just asking

I don't care about Al Gore.
I pay attention to the scientists. The vast majority of which say that global warming is real and mostly caused by us.
The religious leaders in this deal are people like Rush Limbaugh and Michael Crichton. Not, however, Pat Robertson:
"Pat Robertson said, he believes “it is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air.” Robertson implored, “we really need to do something on fossil fuels.”

I'm a scientist, Al Gore and his ilk get their information from people like me not the other way around. Maybe I'm Al Gore's priest.
Yes I've watched his movie and read the book, no it didn't change my opinion in the slightest.
Why are skeptics so obsessed with Al Gore? It's the science that matters, if you have to critic Al Gore it suggests to me that you're unable to critic the science.

It is NOT about pollution, or anything like that.
And it is not my church; mine is very conservative and cares about small people and their needs, not feathering the caps and lining the pockets of politicians, and definitely not about releasing provably false information.
The "Consensus" however has taken on the characteristics of a world religion, one that uses its resources to force peoples into complying, and has its ties with the rich and famous, and demands unquestioning allegiance from the poorer, and stifles dissent with rhetoric and economic sanctions.
And has its traveling priests and prophets. But most people are so far from history, and from thinking about religion other than as a formality, it is not readily seen,
Compare with the State churches in Medieval times; seems to be we need another lesson from History perhaps? Will we learn any faster?
