I got roughed up last night and I have a scrape (basically, it's an open wound) on my knee. I have cleaned it out with peroxide and I was just wondering, instead of neosporin can I use lidocaine?

Thats like giving someone with appendicitis a pain killer. Its probably infected. Go to the store and get some antibiotic ointment. If that doesnt' work go to the doctor and get prescribed antibiotics.

Lidocaine is just going to mask the infection. Good luck.

There are several brands of over the counter antibiotic ointments with lidocaine in them one of them should do nicely. if it doesn't heal up in a few days you should have it looked at by a healthcare professional

What type of sore is it? You're probably better off covering it with an antibiotic ointment and dressing/bandage to prevent exposure to air, which will stop the hurt.
