i was told 2 use preperation h and wrap a trash bag around me and go walking 2 drop weight quickly. how big of a risk is this?

The idea behind the garbage bag is to sweat and lose weight by losing water weight (body is 70% water remember?). While I'm not familiar with risks associated with preparation h, I can tell you that losing a lot of water at one time will only dehydrate you. You'll lose about 2 lbs in water weight before you're really dehydrated, then you'll need an IV and you won't have gained anything. Try a balanced diet, drink lots of water (which helps degestion and metabolism), don't drink sodas, alchohol, juices with added sugar. Lots of vegetables, lean meats/fish, lowfat dairy, fruit. Then excercise lots (you can walk, or jog, bike, swim, tennis, frisbee, whatever). Then you'll lose weight and be healthy

My mom used to have a "sauna suit" which was basically a plastic jogging suit. Go for a walk or a jog in that thing and you'd come back drenched in sweat. If used regularly, it might have worked. I don't know.

I think you can still buy those at Wal-Mart and Target, back where they have the free weights and pedometers and stuff like that.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you're sweating off that much water, you need to replace it when you're done by drinking more water. Otherwise, you run the risk of getting dehydrated and making yourself sick.

no don't do that all your going to do is cause a serious skin irritation preparation h is not for your skin it is for your butt. about the garbage bag you can use that it is cheep and it will work but you need to where something silk/cotton under it because it will cause you to Itch you can't put lotions because it clogs your pores and then you can irritate your skin. you can buy a special suite to lose weight it is plastic. you can do cardio and you will sweat walking is good first slow don't hurt your self and like everything else it takes dedication.

That is so not healthy! I mean, it does work, you will lose weight quickly, but you will be weak, and its just not healthy. If you want to lose weight quickly, drink a lot of water and do a detox to remove all the toxins, and its not bad for you like walking around in a garbage bag!

There is hardly any short cut to loosing weight. The old fashioned eat less exercise more.
