I found the best thing since sliced bread...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9oDEWuNVIo6/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=142FMMOD01

It's not wireless so there's no chance for interference. Not to be confused with an FM transmitter. It basically adds an AUX port to ANY radio.

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off.

This IS the answer. Totally versatile.

1. FM radio transmitter that will "broadcast" to your car radio.
2. Cassette adapter that connects to the MP3 player earphone jack and that slides into the cassette slot.

Either is < $20 US. You might find a power adapter for 12 V, but it's not essential; batteries should last a bit longer than on earphones, since you can keep the volume down on the player and adjust it at the radio/cassette control.

If your car is a 06 and has a "CD Player" drive im sure itz mp3 compatible!!!! it would not hurt to try to put a mp3 cd and see if it playz it right??just make an mp3 cd and try it on. if it doesnt work then u r just going to buy a cd player adapter kit for your car. if your car has a cassette slot just place the tape in their and hook the wire into a cd player that is compatible with mp3's. "remember, not all car stereos or personal cdplayers r mp3's..

the 2 easiest routes you can go are 1. get an FM Modulator. you can get high(er) quality sound by connecting to the antenna, best left to pros. 2. Get an adapter. you can go to circuit city and ask for an adapter for your stock stereo. they should be able to order one I believe if they don't have one for your car already. it will give you an auxillory port to work with. 3. send the signal from your mp3 player directly to your amps/speakers. thats how I set mine up. just split my RCA cables so i have my headunit sending a signal to my amp, and my mp3 player sending a signal directly to my amps. it works for me just like plugging in headphones. anything that has a headphone jack can play music in my car by sending a music signal directly to my amps. but if you don't have amps then this will be hard for you to accomplish. so I would stick to one of the first 2.

There are FM Modulators on the market that are made for the iPod that will play on a specific radio station through your factory speakers. he best bet is to do a search and find out which name brand companies offer a modulator. I hope this helps a little bit.

You will have to change the radio head or log on to subaru to see if an I pod interface is offered for your model. Most after market radios have a low level set of RCA imput jacks in back. Crutchfield dot com... Best Buy, Circuit City and good aftermarket sterio shops.

Yup, get a CD adapter. I think that's what it's called... either way, it's this CD, that has a cord coming out of it, you plug the cord into your mp3 and then just insert the CD into your car CD player, and play and tada!
