We are created in the image of God. We are inherently creative so we can assume God is, too. So he created everything.

We know now why he put us here on the Earth. We all lived up there with God as his sons and daughters, and he had a physical body, but we didn't; we were just spirits still. we wanted a physical body, so God made a plan, and that was to make an earth for us to go to and have a physical body. Then when we die we go back to live with him again we will still have our bodies, then made perfect, so we will have become like God. God loves us all.

He created out of love. A true artist, writer, or composer loves his creation and wants it to be beautiful and true and perfect, as an expression of himself and his own love of beauty and truth and perfection. God is the best of all artists, the one who had the most beauty and truth and perfection in himself, the most desire to give those qualities expression, and the most devoted love for his work. Everything in God's creation is an expression of some aspect of its creator. Time, Matter, Light, Change, Generation, Electricity, Attraction, Precision, Motion, anything you can think of which exists, somehow came from some aspect of God's mind, and exists because he desired to express his mind in creativity and love.

I'll simply agree with Craig R. and GLADLY disagree with someone who cares ( but doesn't know God) as well as drizzt who I feel very sad for. deceived would be a fitting explanation. Mattduran06 is closer to God then they are. One cannot tell the truth without offending someone can they, but that is what we are to do.

there are some things that God does that go beyond human understanding and explanation. we cannot confine God to our human minds and understanding of existence. we will know when we meet Him.

There is no answer to why. That's why we know that the idea of 'good and evil' is a human one because god can only be objective.
Disclaimer: I don't believe in god....
