I recently heard about steeping lobsters which requires POURING boiling water on top of them in a pan. Has anyone tried this method? Does the flesh turn out differently than traditionally boiled / steamed lobster?
Also, has anyone tried live lobster sashimi?

id rather burn in oil than cook a living thing. Try burning your fingers and see how he feels! I bought hens for the eggs then for the table...... 1 got sick and i took it to the vets! never did have any chicken. Cant eat an animal you've named!

I would think dunking their invertebrate heads in rapidly boiling water would kill them quickler than torturing them by slowlying pouring hot water over them that may or may not kill their invertebrate brains....
