Because blaming others instead of finding solutions is a great American tradition.

Again, this time, write it down...Americans are not against immigration. We are against illegal immigrants entering our country violating our laws. If not for immigration, the US would actually have a negative population growth. Although from a social service aspect this doesn't initially sound too bad, from an economic one, negative population growth is a recipe for disaster. Immigrants come, pursue the American dream with us. When you do though, don't disrespect our country by burning our flag or flying your native flag over ours and respect our laws. If you want to become a citizen, and stay observant of our laws, as well as pledge allegiance to this great nation, I say welcome, my fellow American. But, if you want to live in the US, work in the US and/or become a US citizen, learn English, do not demand that I learn your native language. You immigrated to MY country, I did not immigrate to YOUR country. Personally, I don't think that's too much to ask.

I don't know, why are Iraqis so upset at the Americans in thier country - they're only there to help.
I'm sorry, but if 150,000 foreigners in your country without your permission is justification for a violent 4-year insurgency, what does 12 million foreigners in your country without your permission justify?
True, there has been a lot of immigration in US history, but much of it has been legal, and it's the legal immigrants that are welcomed, today, while the illegals are views with suspicion.

alot of you dint seem to get the point, they come into this country mainly Mexicans, and stay here and can care less about this country, their here illegally and do not want to learn the language, want all the rights of legal citizens, want everything free, and it is an insult to immigrants who go though the whole legal process and pay to stay,i know alot of European immigrants both legal and illegal and 80% learn the english language within a year and are speaking good in two,i know of mexican who have been here 5 yrs and still speak no english, and i was born in this country so i am A LEGITIMATE FULL FLEDGE AMERICAN,no countrys ancestors came out of the dirt all countrys came from somewhere else.

It has NOTHING to do with being worried..it has to do with laws and what is right. We have issues as other countries do, and when we feel that our issues that need to be addressed get over looked by ILLEGALS that has nothing to do with being worried it has to with being ticked off. So apparently you have no clue about history here, or if you do you are just trying to stir the pot up and cause some sort of argument..so then I will leave your question with the answer of we are not worried..we are mad.

It's not IMMIGRANTS It's the law breaking people coming in and living off the American people. It's not being racist to want any one that take advantage of America and breaks the law to go home. The fact that America can't afford them is real.

Well, did the Native Americans give the Europeans permission to come in and take over their lands? No, they did not. So they were illegal immigrants too.

learn the difference between immigrant and illegal invader. Americans don't have a problem with legal immigration and we hate illegal invaders who steal our jobs and our IDs

This is a common problem world wide. Any time you have poor people just living across a border from a richer country. Why can't they just abide by the laws and come over legally. That is what my friend did.

The fact that most American citizens today are descendants of people who immigrated to the United States before immigration was regulated in any real way seems to be lost on the xenophobes.

Why aren't you worried about illegal immigrants? Illegal means illegal. They're breaking the law!
