The man of knowledge is the one who recognizes that what is known is very little compared to what is not known, and as a result he considers himself ignorant, and accordingly he increases his efforts to know more by going out in search of knowledge.

The Station of men of Knowledge
Know that the slaves of Allah are those who seek to preserve knowledge of Him, safeguarding what safeguards it, and lettings its springs flow freely. They are united by friendship, and they meet with love, and they drink from the cup that quenches their thirst, and they go on with their thirst satisfied. They are not troubled by doubt, and they are not quick to backbite. It is on this basis that their natural disposition and character rest, and on this is based their love, and by this they are united. They are like seeds that have been assessed and selected, some to be kept and some to be thrown away, identified through purification, and refined through clarification.

Knowledge is to know the exact TRUTH, and the knowledge that is not true is not a knowledge... i know this seems (!) i'll try to explain...
there are 3 kinds of knowledge:
1)body knowledge: which is to know things threw our senses like tasting touching etc...
2)self knowledge: a)interlligence: realizing justice
b)will: the willing of freedom of choice
c)emotions: loving everything that is good and beautiful.
3)soul knowledge: consists of 5 things i'll tell you the summary which is the absolute knowledge (like the knowledge of god in the heart of the prophits (jesus christ and else) and that kind of knowledge is the only one that consists absolute truth!!!!! and very few chosen people can have it (chosen by who? i'let you decide)
*THIS IS A VERY BIG QUESTION AND YOU CAN'T JUST GET THE ANSWER COZ THESE KIND OF THINGS ARE NOT AGREED ON TELL THE DAY!!!!!
i can tell you this: most the knowledge we know ellegitely is not true... in fact most of the things that is being studied in schools and universities is not true, it's all just a accusations and (IF STATEMENTS) and believes and not even close to 100% accurate!!!

Knowledge is defined (Oxford English Dictionary) variously as (i) facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject, (ii) what is known in a particular field or in total; facts and information or (iii) awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. Philosophical debates in general start with Plato's formulation of knowledge as "justified true belief". There is however no single agreed definition of knowledge presently, nor any prospect of one, and there remain numerous competing theories.
Knowledge acquisition involves complex cognitive processes: perception, learning, communication, association, and reasoning. The term knowledge is also used to mean the confident understanding of a subject, potentially with the ability to use it for a specific purpose.

Discrete bits of knowledge combined with other bits of knowledge in ways that have meaning (associations).
All learning is done by association. Things learned in isolation are easily forgotten (dreams as an example).
Memory is the ability to retrieve knowledge through associations.
Creativity is the ability to connect things in unique and original ways.
Helps to see knowledge in context.

Look it up for yourself.
It's in the dictionary.
It's some word that human beings made up and attached some definition to go along with it. The "word" knowledge never existed until someone made one. I'm not saying we because I didn't make that word up(it was someone else). And it kind of sounds like I'm crediting myself for it and it's kind of disgusting.

Ultimate knowledge is when you have a great spiritual awakening. Because if your spirit is completely free, and you know that you are here on this earth to do on to others as they do unto you. And you realize that all your actions and spoken words will affect yourself and others around you. Then you have achieved true knowledge.

I like this question
Facts that are remembered from the pre-earth-life.
Knowledge cannot be transferred from one to another -- although information is passed from one to another; this information does not become knowledge until this information springs forth from ones prior experience -- see "Meno" in Socrates Dialogs
It is an interesting logic puzzle if you care to research it.

KNOWLEDGE...
"When you know yourselves, you will know that you are true children of the living father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you dwell in poverty and you ARE poverty."
- Jesus Christ, knowledge, light, love, God, personified
In other words, true knowledge is knowledge of YOURSELF, where you come from, why you're here, and where you're going. It's enlightenment, and freedom from all earthly bondage, it's life.
