Doesn't it make sense to build a fence or wall if you don't want illegals?

What does the lack of a wall tell you?

Mary, then why was it not built earlier?

Why are the borders so porous that 12 million illegal people can get in?

Because the border was respected for the most part. I know we had a few comming back and forth for ag jobs but they weren't here by the millions with all their kids too. They should have built a fence a long time ago when they saw what was happening. NEVER have we had our border abused or any of our other laws so badly till recently. It makes perfect sense to build one.....but that's the one thing they don't want to do.....have anything make sense. It might actually work and then there'd be nothing to "fix".

Go further. Why isn't a wall being considered for the Canadian border. The only terrorist America has caught that did not fly in from outside the country came from Canada.

Why so much focus on building a wall for the Mexican border? Why no focus on doing the same for the Canadian border too?

The wall is being built now, but not fast enough. Goverment is just slow. But it is being built. Even the current Amnesty bill calls for the fence to be completed over the next 18 months.

I am so fed up with all these mexican, crying and whiny about not being treated right. They think they can come here and just take over. They act like the American people will die if the mexican people don't work our jobs. This is AMERICAN people, land of the free, home of the brave. We are pretty damm tuff people. And we DON"T need these illegals fo ANYTHING for us.

A wall really isn't that effective. It's interior enforcement against employers that would really reduce illegal immigration.

We don't have that because said employers make 'campaign contributions' (aka bribes) to corrupt politicians to ensure that the laws aren't enforced.

It's indicative of the failure of democracy in America.

It's about the will not the way. It's about our congress and president wanting to serve the business community more the the will and safety of the American people. We have no problem funding the wall in Israel with foreign aid for their wall, for their safety, I guess they think that we do not deserve the same

Because the owners of the Federal Reserve want illegals to come to America and most of our political leaders (Bush, Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Guiliani, McCain, Romney and Fred Thompson) are simply puppets for the owners of the Federal Reserve.

If anyone thinks President Bush wants to end illegal immigration they need their head examined by a professional shrink. He's just like every President since 1913. He's a puppet for the owners of the Federal Reserve just like the next President will be unless, by some miracle, Ron Paul is elected instead.
