I know several so called, "christians" that have a negative ohora about them. They complian make judgement calls about non christians or just mean. they are unwilling to make scarafies and are selfish. Its people like this that make other christians look bad. When you try to point it out or give correction, they just shun u. I thought are to accept correction?
What do you other Christians think and why are some other christians like this?

Dear ieca909guy,

i am a youth pastor and a Sunday School Teacher for over 15 years and i always tell my students - don't call yourself a Christian if you're not going to live like one.

Over the years i've realized that there are many people who claim the name of Christ- but not everyone lives that way. It's not my place to judge whether they are truly Christians or not. The Bible teaches that many will come face-to-face to the Lord and God will tell them i never knew you.

Humbleness, sacrificialness, and selfless living should be character traits of Christians - because Jesus was like that and being a Christian is being a follower of Christ. By no means are any Christians perfect. i do also know that different people are at different places with their relationship with God-- i've seen God take the rough edges off of some people-- and truly transform some people- i know he's helped me with many character flaws and i know i have quite a few more to work on as well.. haha...

i would say that maybe some aren't Christians and others are still growing in their faith.

As a Bible teacher- i think i just try to encourage everyone to live their lives like Christ and accept that everyone has room to grow- starting with myself.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

You are sounding judgmental. Just worry about your soul first. If you see someone else's soul straying away, then talk to them. If you can't, then pray for them and move on.

Every person is hypocritical from time to time in their life. No matter what religion they are or aren't. It's part of being human, like being a sinner is. No one is perfect. The way I see all this is that Satan and the demons are working over-time because they can see the prophecies in the Book of Revelations coming true and they want as many souls as they can get before Christ comes again. I know there has always been wars, rapes, murders, molestors, gays, etc. but things in the past 15 years have shown signs of Revelations' prophecies and I think that Satan is throwing temptations in our faces 24/7 with all he's got. I truly think Satan uses the media. Sex is on every channel, in magazines, movies, etc. On street corners, more couples cheat on each other, kids are having sex younger, there are more STDs, gays are demanding rights and are proud of themselves, parents are killing their children, politicians lie, world leaders hide, etc. The list goes on and on. Satan is walking amond us and is very powerful and we are allowing him to be powerful. That's why people are sinful and you can find hypocritic in the church.

Some are. I have (and have had) pagan friends like this. It's a human condition. Christianity is just used as the tool for establishing their superiority. Atheism has been used the same way, pagan beliefs have, etc.

"Christians" are not hypocrites. Some are.

The difference is between bigotry, and seeing individuals who need a little help.

Which tact do you wish to take?

Well I try to be a good Christian--- but I think I fail a lot of the time. People are just who they are, and be being Christian they are raising the expectations bar, not their own standing. Some choose to move with the bar... others don't.

well the thing is there are just too many people who CLAIM to be Christians, but as you said they pass judgment on others, and lots of other things behind closed doors. But a Christian is NOT hypocritical of anyone. No doubt it is a Christians duty to spread the word, but judge you? never.

everyone must remember just cause you say your christian your not stating a fact. christians will judge, but they dont judge the non christians. the bible also says that complainers and mumblers wont make it. by our fruit youll know us. none of us as lived a perfect, sinless life. and if this is what they profess they cant be christians cause theyre calling God a liar.

Anyone can be a hypocrite. My understanding of Christianity is that Jesus is paramount rule maker, and his word supersedes other passages in the bible. As such, I see it as hypocritical when people ignore the direct commandments of Jesus and cite references in Leviticus to support hate.

Some are. And some atheists are. And some Jews are. And some Hindus, and some Buddhists, and some Muslims. You can't judge many based on few.
