No no Martial Arts courses(takes years of training), Hand Guns (can be used against you), Dog(Too much responsibility), Security Guard (can not afford to have them all the time with no privacy), .....hmm. ???

Any single answer is WRONG. In your case, start with an attitude adjustment. Martial arts is the ONLY defensive weapon that can't be used against you. It does NOT take years to learn enough to be useful for defense. That said, I would still recommend getting and learning how to use a gun. Take martial arts as well. The gun is useless if you don't have room to shoot.

Don't rule out handguns so quickly. But they do take a certain resolve and level of training to use. If you aren't sure you could pull the trigger, you shouldn't carry one.

How about pepper spray?

Better yet, make sure you stay with friends in a group.

mace\ use the buddy system if you can read up on self defense for women and not just martial art,s but a lot of common sense and there are several book,s out there you mite want too look up as well

handgun of course but since you ruled that out as all weapons can be used against you if you dont use it, then i would say go with someone, especially if they are not afraid to carry a gun.

As you have ruled everything out, I would have to say ....
Have her stay home.
If she is to flighty or stupid to want any of the personal protection that would work she should not leave the house.
