If it doesnt pass, the law will not be enforced and you know it. You live in an idealistic world, not a real one if you think it will. Illegal population will be 40 million soon and you will be even more mad. So I hope that our leaders really do pass this because it will be horrible to live here if they dont.

Whether it's passed or not, immigration laws will not be enforced. It doesn't matter if it's the current laws that aren't enforced, or new provisions in the Amnesty bill that aren't.

If we're going to have a 'compromise' with enforcement & Amnesty, let's at least see the enforcement first, since, every other time it's been Amnesty first, then no enforcement.

If the law is not going to be enforced (per your words) why issue 12 - 20 million citizenships PLUS any chain migration additions with a hefty price tag of 2.6 trillion dollars (not a final price tag). If the laws are not going to be upheld why add new ones to ignore, its expensive and taxpayers are over burdened as is...

If it doesn't pass we can solve it properly in a better bill. This one is worse than preserviing the status quo for a few years until we can address it properly.
