I knew all about the product n the business plan, All my sisters were involved with this business at another country n the result not so good, they spend (products, meetings, etc) more than they make, at the end the got tired n retire from this business. I got involved few weeks ago when my friend was visited me from another state n convince me to come with them to the seminar. from there I'm stuck with the member / IBO / whatever, well...I spend $200 for the registration (fee, folder, product that worth $60). I even spend $300 for a new suit for the seminar. I was thinking, ok let's give it a try. Now I got tired with thinking how to work this out, how to schedule my time, who else I should invite (I have been calling more than 20 ppls, 0 interested), etc. From ten ppls whom joined this business, only one make money. How can I be this lucky one. LOL.

Complete waste of time.

Essentially a web store that about 20,000+ others also have.

Might as well have a yard sale - you'll actually make more

my advice (been in that for 3 years and only got humiliation) is to cancel your enrollment.

don't get me wrong, i am a firm believer in the direct selling and network marketing industry. It is just that amway products didn't have EXCLUSIVITY. basically your products (or similar brands) can be purchased at your local walmart. so THATS WHERE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GO.

If you are going to be a part of the industry, there are 5 things you need:

SIMPLICITY amway has over 1000 products that i know of and if someone has a question on it are you going to be able to have at least a basic knowledge on that many products?

CONSUMIBILITY This means that do you know for sure that you are going to get an income from someone purchasing products each month. Normally the only thing that would be purchased regularly is food or drinks, which as far as i had compared to with price, i would just go to walmart or another grocery store. Many may buy jewelry or clothing one month, but may not need any the next, there is no dependiblity of income.

MYSTIQUE OR EXCLUSIVITY:
How is your product DIFFERENT from the others? What will make someone want to come to you or purchase your products as opposed to going somewhere else? Does YOUR product have that market edge??

DOES YOUR PRODUCT HAVE UNIQUE BRANDING, OR PATENTING??
Basically, do you have a product that has "started" a part of an industry. Is your product a CATEGORY CREATOR, the first of its kind?? A product where your brand name will soon be used generically (ex. Kleenex, Red Bull, Q-tip, Band-Aid, etc) one where everyone else that follows will unsuccessfully compare their product to YOURS?

Is your product backed by YEARS OF SCIENCE AND CENTURIES OF FOLKLORE? If you just have something new or something that no one has heard of, how will anyone know it truly works. If your product comes from something that has been time tested and used from centuries in other parts of the world, but your company is the only one that takes this resource and puts it in a simple form that the rest of the world is able to use in an easier fashion. NOW YOU HAVE MARKET POTENTIAL.

I also want to add that most people that earn high incomes are in the right place at the right time. What does this mean? It means that people that invest their time an efforts with a fast growing company that is still in its young years are going to profit more than those that joins a company that is past its mature point. For example, EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT AMWAY. People are going to want to be involved with something new, some thing that is changing an industry.
If you honestly feel that amway meets these VERY IMPORTANT CRITERIA (as i have found out from being in the direct selling industry for over 12 years!) then i wish you the best of luck.

If you feel that you would like to have a better marketing edge, with something that is fast growing, a category creator in its own kind, and (remember simplicity) only deals with just 1 PRODUCT?

the best thing is that there is no "pushing" of this product, because once people try it for a month many have notices improvements in their health that they felt COMPELLED to share it with the ones they love and care about.

I personally was involved in quixtar for about 6 months..and let me tell you it is hard to keep up with the demand and trying to constantly convince people to buy something from you. If you have meet someone who is already involved in it then there more likely a IBO. which he will make money off of your sales you make and you have to go around and do the same as well. You will be told to throw house parties, different kinds of ways of spreading the word. It was fun for a while but it got tired of it. I suggest if you want to sell products, then go into business for yourself and let yourself make the real profit instead of someone making it off of you.

Take your money and flush it down the toilet. It will be quicker and less painful but will have the same effect as joining Quixtar.

99% of all Quixtar reps never turn a profit. The people at the top make most of their money by putting on training "seminars" that you are expected to attend.

It is a complete and utter scam. The products are mostly to keep the business legal and give it some substance. Most of the money is made in selling the opportunity to be a member. The ethical dilemma takes place when you have to convince people they can sell products that you know they will be almost completely unable to sell. I have heard too many horror stories about them. So beware.

Quixtar is a business opportunity that was launched alongside Amway in 1999 (about 3 years later, the Amway brand was discontinued in the U.S. and Canada because nearly all of its reps had switched to Quixtar).

Quixtar took the Amway sales and marketing plan and updated it for the web, providing access to online business management for Independent Business Owners (IBOs), direct shipment to IBOs' customers, plus access to tens of thousands of products not previously available through Amway (through Quixtar's online Partner Stores).

A Quixtar business is a lot of work. It involves selling products at retail (to ensure short-term profitability) plus sponsoring of others who will do the same. Of course, using the products yourself is always a good idea when you're trying to sell them to others. The core products of our business are Health and Beauty-related (Internet Retailer ranks Quixtar #1 in online Health and Beauty, based on sales). Like Nutrilite vitamins, the first multivitamin when they hit the market in the 1930s and a leading brand globally (we grow all of the ingredients for our vitamin supplements on our own farms; these are not synthetic).

So, in a nutshell, the Quixtar business opportunity is backed by high-quality products, a company with 50 years of industry experience, lots of information and training directly from the company, plus the community of other IBOs who work with you when you get started.

For disclosure's sake, I manage Quixtar's PR function.

Ignore the rabble about the products and the PR guy that posts on every Quixtar question here. That is his only job.

If you have a lot of time and money get ready to lose it and hope for something in return.

If you don't have a lot of time and money then I feel sorry for you.
