my best friend lives in st. louis missouri, i've known him for 5 years, on spring break i went to visit him when i got back i talked with him on the everyday, the last time i talked to him was the morning of April 23rd, he had to go to court that morning(back in dec. he robbed a 7-11) he's 17 and my mom says they could have put him in jail till the next court date which was on june 18th, i still havent heard anything, and i seen he has to go to court again on aug. 13th, my mom also said she heard if the court continues a case , the 3rd time they have to throw it out, i havent heard from him and nobody there has seen him, so im just wondering if there is any way i can find out if my buddy is in jail or not.

If he is being tried as an adult the jail will tell you. If he is being tried as a minor, they will not tell you. Sounds like he may be out of jail and in prison. That's what happens to 7-11 robbers. If he had a gun he will be away for a long time.

Sweety, just call the county jail and ask if he's there or been there, they not going to do anything, it's a simple enquiry and they get them all the time! If I were there I'd make the call myself, it's not a big deal to ask what do they care? Either he's there r not, legally they have to give him the right for missing people, &/or maybe let you know WHERE ELSE he's placed may be placed via computer. Just the cop the court date/charge. Do it after 6:00pm you may be on there for a while & phone rates r cheaper. Keep r chin up girlfreind u'll find him. All My Best, (wish I were there to comfort u) as been in that situation too & know the feeling. Make the Call!

call the jail and no they will not throw it out if it is continued 3 times that just means for some reason someone could not make it to court at that time and it will be continued that can happen dozens of times

he's definitely in jail. there not going to keep him in holding for that amount of time. i live in saint Louis and they are either keeping him down in the city (there's a jail under the big court house building next to bush stadium) or, some where in the county. my guess is that he is downtown. if he has that many court dates then they won't put him far away.

That's a sad story but you are a good friend. You can find out what you want to know by calling the clerk of the court.

Just call the jail and ask them if they have someone by that name there. It might be best to *67 your call or from a pay phone . If you don't they'll watch your house , they'll call you every day trying to get you to tell them where he is and they will scare you with attemps to come get you. They pull every trick in the book . Just be on the safe don't give your name and best to call from a pay bill and leave as soon as you hang up the phone. I'm real leery of them because if their looking for him , they'll try ever trick in book, they'll worry you to death and your innocent of all.

Go to jail and ask to bail him out. Judge may have him held
without bond until they find out if he is to be charged as an
adult even though he is 17. Happens all the time. :-{(
