im making brownies....how do you mkae 3/4 if the recipe calls for it????i dont have 3/4.......ex?: do i put in 2 1/3???

I'm not quite sure if I understand.... but if it's 3/4 of a cup... divide the cup into 4 equal parts and only use 3... Does this make sense? I could help more if I understood your question better.
Cut a stick of butter into 4 equal parts (most have lines on them to show how many tablespoons) Then melt 3 of them.

well i think you are asking how to measure butter. not sure what 2 1/3 means. i'm going to assume you mean cups. for baking you should use real butter. the sticks are marked as to the individual amounts. if you have a tub of margarine, just use a measuring cup. this is the best i can help you with the way you worded the question

can you try just using three quarter cups? So fill up your quarter (1/4) cup three times with butter...and place it in the pan....
2 1/3 would not work....that would make 2/3...(more than the required amount).
Or...you could use a quarter cup (1/4) and a half cup (1/2)...if you have those measuring cups available...

Make the whole recipe and use the remaining quarter in a different pan. (or mix leftovers with a bit of bisquick and water to make chocolate pancakes for breakfast tomorrow... yum!) =0>

use oil!!! all the boxed brownies use that. i do to it make them lower fat!!!
