Hi...don't worry, the dictionary also contains something called oxymoron (that's two contradictory terms used one next to the other) :))
Here's what I can help you with. Professional and free:

and for resumes:

May you find something suitable ;)

There are free cover letters all over the Internet if you look hard enough. I found this one (see link) faster than it took you to type your question.

If you have a library nearby, you can get a book called "Cover Letters that Knock'em Dead" by Martin Yate. He gives samples of every type of letter you need when looking for a job. He also has a resume book. (There are free samples on his website too! See link.)

Remember, the purpose of a cover letter is to get a your resume read.

The cover letter doesn't have to be long (or fancy). Just explain your background and why you would be perfect for the job.

Also, have friend look it over and remember to spell check it.

It is always good to include a cover letter with your resume. A cover letter is an introduction to your resume. It also allows you to be a bit more personal with the employer rather than just sending your resume by itself. Its always a good idea to open up with a cover letter. Good luck

Professional and free?
Look it up in a dictionary and find it is pretty much contradictory.
