I don't train at all. We always defined "training" as practicing for a particular exhibition or match. I think that definition has broadened quite a bit. I don't compete anymore so have not really trained for years

Anyway, I practice at 6AM, 12 Noon, 6 PM, and 12 AM, but can't always make every session every day. I do at least two of these session per day, every day. This is dragon form Kung Fu, slightly modified for Qi Gong

I live at the dojo on Monday and Wednesday. I have an hour workout by myself or with my daughter. Then I teach for an hour. After that, another instructor usually comes in so I get a break for an hour and go for a run. After all of that, THEN I take my regular class for an hour.

I also try to get down for an hour class on Tuesday and an open workout for two hours on Friday. I also run on Friday. If I'm feeling especially motivated, I'll go to a 45 minute Saturday class.

On Thrusday and Sunday I rest.

I train 3-5 days a week. I also run about that many times a week as well. I need to train more, but I do actually attend classes.

I have trained in one thing or another since I was12. Can't say I get to train every day, as of late, but I still get good training in. I will train forever, can't seem to live without it. By the by I'm 40 now.

It's funny you say not from a book. I don't train with a book either but Evan Tanner and Rich Franklin were self taught and look at them.
