No, actually it doesn't. Exposing your skin to the sun actually makes you feel a lot warmer. Believe me, I've tried it for a long time before I started covering =). Also, from a medical point of view, too much sun is bad for your skin and hair. It's one of the leading causes of skin cancer and one of the main reasons that many people have dry hair. Covering your skin and hair gives you the advantage of keeping yourself healthy and beautiful =).
I hope this answers your question.

Well, yes, of course. Don't you get hot when you are out in hot weather too? Actually, I find that if you choose the right styles and fabrics, it is much more comfortable than exposed skin in the hot sun. I love cotton, linen, and some of the modern synthetics that breathe.
And the head covering does keep me noticeably cooler than the hot sun beating down on my hair, especially if my scarf is in a light color.
Honestly, I've been dressing as a modest Muslim woman for 3 summers now, and I've never had a problem. I was worried before I decided to "hijab" because in the past I have had problems with heat related injury, but it hasn't been a problem, even when I had a job which involved outdoor work on a regular basis, and even though my car doesn't have air conditioning. It seems it would be uncomfortable, but it really isn't.

I am an American Muslim convert. I choose to wear hijab--I have no husband, so no one can say he's "making" me do it. It is an expression of my devotion to Allah.
Of course it gets hot. Dark colors absorb heat. Heat escapes your body through your head and feet. And I live where summers are scorching and the humidity is terrible. Reading others' responses about it not getting hot, I think maybe they don't have to deal with as much humidity.
So I manage by wearing lighter colors if I'm going to be outdoors. Loose fitting clothing (which is recommended anyway) helps, too. Light colored tunics are my personal favorites for summertime.
The darker hijabs that I have are more of a gauze-like material, which also helps heat escape. I also skip the "underscarf" (which helps keep it in place) in the summertime and just readjust my hijab as needed.
And fortunately, most outdoor activities around here have those fans blowing mist to help cool off patrons, our zoo and amusement parks, for example.
I have worn hijab walking around the amusement parks in Orlando, and I am happy to say that they don't fly off on the mega-coasters either!
BTW, Arabs make up less than 20% of the Muslim population. Islam is a religion for all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, etc.

It all depends on the fabric :D
You've got the summer clothing and the winter ones... (you don't see the store selling wool sweaters in the summer... now do you?! :D)... its the same with our stores...
The summer ones are not that hot... you wouldn't feel it... its just like wearing a normal T-shirt or a top... and pants is pants :D (I wear some kind of a blouse that covers my behind... along with a pants)...
AND... the scarf... its silk... so... it doesn't get hot either!

Being a man or woman certified in Islamic stories, I might like to provide an explanation for that Muslim females are exempted from devout tasks throughout the menstruation. This rule honestly relieves females from having to hold the 5 day-to-day prayers, fasting and different tasks even as she is within the uncomfortable bodily situation of menstruation. How can one suppose a girl being requested to rapid on this quandary? I ought to explain, nevertheless, that a few persons generalize and limit all varieties of "prayers". The ritual prayer in Islam is known as "salat" and it needs to be performed five occasions an afternoon in a designated manner. This "salat" isn't required from females throughout their menstruation. The English phrase "prayer" is extra usual than the Islamic "salat", and will incorporate different varieties of prayers just like the supplication that one does any time of the day, and with no need to do the rituals of the Islamic "salat". This sort of prayers isn't prohibited for females. In different phrases, menstruating females can hold praying to God, speaking to Him, praising Him, requesting His love and forgiveness, however with out doing it in a ritual "salat." The "submission" website isn't an Islamic website. It belongs to a sect that used to be created through "Rashad Khalifa", a Christian Egyptian who claimed that he used to be Muslim, then made a significant exposure approximately a fake discovery known as the "numerical miracle of the Quran". In the identical e-book he claimed that he outlined the certain date of the tip of the sector, which utterly contradicts what the Quran and the Sunna pontificate. Later his fact used to be learned. He additionally claimed that the Sunnah isn't side of Islamic regulation and that we do not ought to comply with it, so that is why his sect is utterly external Islam. Hope this makes matters transparent. Salaam-peace.

There are different fabrics that are lighter and let air pass through, its actually not that hot if you have the right fabric and the right color. After all it doesn't have to be all black.

Would you be cooler without your pants?
Do you think your religion would find it OK if you went to work without them?
But aren't you hot?
