I have a 21 year old sister who still lived at home with mom and dad she pays rent ok then they told her that she has to share a job with my 12 year old sister but still paid rent and she has to be home every night by 10 well to make a long stroy short she has to catch two buses to go to work and she didnt get off till 11pm one night and the buses stop running at 9 here so she called them and told them that she was going to spend the night with her boyfriend who lives nexts door from where she works so the next day she calls me crying cuz they threw all her stuff on the front pounch and told her that she had to move out now she has already paid them rent for next month and they are refuseing to give her the money back what should she do

My sister has a lot of medical problems and thats why she had to say at home for so long these people who she lived with are her foster parents but they treated us as their own intill they stop getten paid for us.

if this happened after she turned 18yo she's an adult and would have a civil matter for the courts. she would also need to contact the courts to see if they need to legaly evict her if she has lived there for x amount of time. if she has a lease she can bring that to court when she files to get her money back.
after you become an adult the rules change about getting kicked out of their house.
in delaware if you live somewhere for more than 30 days you need to be legaly evicted before they can "kick you" out officialy.

If it's just a matter of the cost of a month's rent, I'd it's not worth the fight.
