Someone who cares... God knew (by Christian logic) That Satan would fall. If so, Why didn't he stop it? if he was all powerful, why not just be rid of him. I can't control my son because I am not all-powerful, however if I was and Iknew that my son would create something like evil I would use my power to change his mind forever. but of course since I put the IDEA of evil in Satan's head in the first place, I guess your right. Maybe God SHOULD be punished for Lucifer's sin, and trade places with him in hell. Your logic worked against you, didn't it...?

aleqkabo... so you agree then that God did deliberately create evil to test us? we have all the horror in the world, because he wants to what... pass his morality test? You don't need religion to be moral. Only those who are religious need religion to be moral (at least they think that. truth is, no one needs it).

Dude, you asked a zinger of a question - what else do you expect?!?!

Dont get me wrong - nothing bugs me more than putting forth the effort to come up with a well worded argument, only to have it be ignored by the very people whose attention you are trying to get with it. But, this is Y!A - not a place to educate yourself, but to tell others how they should live their lives....

If you had a son and he committed murder, do you get thrown in jail for it? You created your son, therefore you are responsible for the evil murder so it is your fault, right?

To answer your answer to my answer....
Why didn't God stop him? Why doesn't God stop anyone? It is because he has given us the ability to choose, free will. Why? Because God's purpose is to have us become like him and we cannot do that if we have no choice or ability to choose between good or evil. He could no more take that away than he could lie or cease to be God. We cannot blame God for our own choices because he has put us in a sphere to act for ourselves. There are consequences for actions though for good or for evil. It would be like him telling us that he knows we are going to go to college and get a diploma, therefore, we don't have to go and he can just give us the diploma. The problem is we wouldn't learn a thing that way. You are implying because God has all knowledge that he should stop us from doing anything wrong. That would keep us stupid and unable to make any choices because we wouldn't have a choice.

One of the staples of most religions SPECIALLY Judeo Christian is the instance of FREE WILL. Adam (as well as the fallen one) had a choice to make, and that choice had consequences. Evil or sin has to have will and knowledge. That means that you not only know that what you are doing is wrong, but also are doing it willingly. God doesn't MAKE you do things either you do them or you don't. God is like a parent whose kid is learning, over protection is counterproductive. When you learn to walk or run or bike, you WILL fall, does that mean that your parents want you to get hurt? What they will do is give you comfort so you get over it and hopefully learn something about it.

Someone who cares ^ made a good point.

EDIT: we all still have our free agency, or right to choose. God will never take that away. Lucifer had that as well.
