"Eating table food" means that she can put it in her mouth, chew it and swallow it by herself. It also means that she can eat almost everything that you eat. The notable exceptions would be allergens such as shellfish and choking hazards. Your pediatrician can give you a list of foods she will have trouble with right now, but you can use some common sense to sort out the most obvious.
No nuts, popcorn or chips, raw carrots, celery, lettuce, hard candy or gum.
Hot dogs should be cut lengthwise, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Grapes should be quartered.
Most kids like fruit a lot. Some like meats and cheeses more, and some like breads and cereals. Cheerios are a favorite of parents because they are easy to pick up and difficult to choke on.

At a year old she should be able to eat almost everything that you eat, as long as it isn't to spicy and shes not allergic. My twins are 7 months and they eat a lot of the same food my husband and I eat plus I make them cheese quesadillas, whole wheat pancakes are great and i'm actually able to add number one or two babyfoos carrots, sweet potatoes etc. to the batter which adds some extra nutrition but doesn't really flavor them, it just changes the color of the pancakes, no butter or syrup though. They also eat whole grain toast, bagels among other breads. She should be able to eat shredded chicken breast, I don't yet give meats to my girls as I was advised to wait until they're 9 months old BUT they could very easily eat that if I gave it to them. Steamed veggies are always good. Yogurt is great, one of my twins LOVES it the other HATES it so you never know. Grilled cheese on whole grain bread is good, You can try a variety of different cheeses. Really there shouldn't be much that she can't eat, my friends one year old son had no teeth and he was eating everything that we the adults ate, he just gummed it and not once did he choke, although I don't know if I could do that, my girls both had teeth before I started feeding them table food. They also make gerber graduate meals which I wouldn't reccomend giving her all of the time but occasionally they can come in handy. Good luck, relax and have some fun, she'll let you know if she doesn't like something. If you're worried about egg allergies, you should be able to use something like the egg beaters egg substitute, thats what I was told, however my girls aren't a year yet so I haven't tried it.

Gerber has some graduate snacks that children seem to love.you can give her soft fruit such as watermelon and peaches. When my son was around 1 I started giving him chicken, cut up in real small pieces. macaroni and cheese. He loved the canned spaghetti o's .Ramen noodles, spaghetti (chopped up), hotdogs, all vegetables........I cant really think of a whole lot more. Really as long as she has teeth, which 1 yr she should, then she can eat anything, just make sure the bites are cut up small enough so that if she dont chew it properly she wont choke.
Here is a website that has a list of fun foods to feed toddlers, most of it does not seem appealing to me, but you may think differently! http://www.parentingtoddlers.com/recipefortoddler.html

Yea when i had my baby i bought a little food grinder that i took every where i went and basically whatever i was eating i would grind up and my daughter would eat it (maybe adding a little water) so if i had spaghetti i would grind it up in the grinder so it was easy for her to digest, u can get them really cheap like $10.

sounds gross but... I would take a bite of what I was eating, use my finger to make pull it apart, smash what ever and then feed it to my kids. Great finger foods that she can gnaw on are bagels, melon, heal of french bread, cooked baby carrots (a Little firm) ripe nectarine. Any food you have on you plate in little pieces, really little with meat.

cooked veggies. Get her liking them now. Carrots, green beans, broccoli, whatever she'll eat. Then you wont be on here in a year like the rest of us asking how to get her to eat them =)
